Nassau is famous in popular culture for its history with pirates. Nowadays the only plundering done is for fish in the extremely rewarding waters of the Bahamas and you'll have Yellowtail Charters by your side, to help you reel that booty in.

The vessel you'll be fishing from is an imposing 42' Sea Yacht, perfectly suited to fishing the high seas around Nassau. She's powered by twin 450 HP Cummins engines, you can expect to go around 21 knots at her maximum cruising speed, perfect for trolling for pelagic predators. The amenities are all there too, a flybridge, fighting chairs, equipment for spearfishing and snorkeling. You can also relax, because there's a full kitchen, bed, A/C cabin, and a multimedia system on board.

The local fish species are bountiful and very fun to catch – Amberjacks, Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Yellowtail Snappers, Wahoo, Skipjack Tuna, Sailfish, and finally, the Blue Marlin. Throughout all of this you'll be assisted and instructed by Captain Shalako Moxey, the owner and a fisherman with over 30 years under his tackle belt. You'll go reef fishing, bottom fishing, snorkeling and spearfishing, and deep sea fishing. You'll go up to 20 miles offshore on longer trips.

All the required equipment is provided by the captain. There is no minimum age for children, the captain provides life vests in all sizes. The vessel is disabled accessible and anglers of all skill levels are invited to join Yellowtail Charters on this fishing adventure!

    Crushed the Mahi!

    Half Day Trip (AM) on August 8, 2026 • 10 adults • 8 children

When we arrived we discussed a plan. We discussed on shore fishing vs offshore trolling. We decided to go offshore and troll. The crew was courteous and professional. They were also very friendly. We got into a school of Mahi about an hour into the trip. We had a bit of chaos where we pulled in 4 Mahi in about 10 minutes. About an hour later we pulled in a nice barracuda. We chased driving birds for almost two hours after that. We saw jumping tuna the whole time that we were chasing the birds but didn't hook up. The entire experience was excellent.

    Action start to finish

    Half Day Trip (PM) on July 15, 2026 • 5 adults • 3 children

Captin Moxie and crew gave us the option of going deep sea fishing or staying more shallow which usually means more action for the kids. we chose the more action route. On our way out the crew saw an opportunity to go deep and it worked out and we caught a tuna. we then went shallow and caught a number of fish before trollimg the reefs and catching some yellow tail and barracuda. Nev and Mikey were great with the kids and very accommodating.

    Very good trip. Excellent crew!!

Half Day Trip (AM) on July 16, 2026 • 3 adults

Went on 1/2 day AM trip with my 2 sons. Crew couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. Super accommodating. Cant say enough good things. Boat was nice, not spectacular. Definitely suited for its purpose. First hour or so went by without a catch. However after moving some, we reeled in 7 barracuda, including one huge one. Scenery and water was beautiful. Good amount of fish caught. Excellent crew. Only “minor” disappointment was the lack of array of fish we caught after looking at some of the pictures on the website. But that’s fishing- every trip is a bit different i suppose.

    Amazing!!! Just perfect!

    Half Day Trip (AM) on August 1, 2026 • 4 adults • 1 child

We could not of asked for a better fishing charter! Just got back and already eating our catch! Captain Mario and first mate Adonias were incredible, helpful, fun, patient, kind and so welcoming! Our family of 4 had the best time and caught a bunch of fish! They were great with my boys (10yo and 13yo)! Highly recommend! 5 stars! Will book again!

    Great crew!

Full Day Trip on June 17, 2026 • 5 adults

Mario, Nev and Jackson were great! Started the day trolling deep. No birds and no good weeds. Caught one blackfin. Moved to the reefs to catch some fish for fun. Lots of fish-barracuda, yellowtail and mackerel. Crew was willing to do whatever we wanted. All 5 people got to reel in plenty of fish.

    Tight lines!

    Half Day Trip (AM) on June 6, 2026 • 6 adults • 2 children

Absolute blast on this boat. Crew was fantastic. Fishing was amazing. Super accommodating crew with extensive knowledge of the area and good patterns to fish. We had some inexperienced fishers with us and they couldn't have made things easier for us. Will be back to slay some more fish in the future!

    Great Trip

Half Day Trip (AM) on May 26, 2026 • 4 adults

We had a lot of fun with these guys. We were catching fish as soon as they put the bait in the water. We reeled in two Barracudas, 7 yellowtails and one Spanish Mackerel. We lost a couple of fish due to Baracudas eating them. it was a great time!

Half Day Trip (AM) on June 25, 2026 • 11 adults

Crew was PHENOMENAL! Caught 9 Black fin Tuna! All of the kids were able to reel in at least one fish, but the crew made the difference! Experienced, friendly, FUN!
