Pirate Fishing Tours 

I booked a solo fishing trip with Marcus of Pirate fishing and boat tours. Since I was solo I let them know I was just interested in fishing and not the normal trips he runs than included lunch and snorkle. We had a great time, We trolled divin swimming plugs with different lead on lines to fish around 40 feet, This is done along the edge of the volcano of 1600 feet. Wecaught Golden grouper and baraccuda. The trip was wprth just the scenery alone as we trolled around the entire island. Both Captain and mate were great with nonstop explaing everthing and history as Capt is a many generation fisherman of the area. Hihly recommend, was a great adventure

This was our first time visiting Santorini and I’m so happy I booked Pirate Fishing Tours. Captain Makis and Eli were incredible. Captain Makis is born and raised in Santorini and known all over the island as the pirate. We could have listened to him talk for hours about his childhood growing up learning the fishing business with his father. Sent out at only 13 years old alone for 6 days on the open water on a small boat. our day was perfect. we caught grouper which he grilled right on the boat for us along with homemade tomato fritters, greek salad, and fresh bread. best meal we had by far! His custom fishing boat was so comfortable and also allowed us to sunbathe on the front tanning deck. we exllored along the volcono and even anchored in a small cove within the volcano to paddle board and swim while they cooked our meal. Of course the scenery was spectacular. We didn’t want our day to end. After only 5 hours we felt like they were family. if we get the chance to visit Santorini again we will definitely be booking Pirate Fishing tours again!

I was raised fishing off the coast of Massachusett, and charter fishing has been a staple of just about every memorable family vacation I’ve ever been on. Santorini is dope if you like the outdoors (hiking, beaching, etc.), but after three full days, you’ve probably seen most of the island, and if youre looking for something memorable, and low-impact, book this trip with this boat. Capt. Makis (a fourth generation fisherman of these waters) and 1st Mate llias are top notch fishermen, and make for brilliant company. The craft is clean, safe, and seaworthy. This is an ideal trip to take with an older parent, or adolescent (though book a transfer/driver to/from the harbor because the walk is straight up strenuous. We were lucky enough to catch a beautiful grouper which was later prepared for us on the deck of the boat and served to us for lunch. I was absolutely lovely. BOOK THE TRIP!

Captain Makis and Ilias were very pleasant to be on the boat with. They told us so much history about the island, Greece and their personal backstories. We started our morning trolling for fish alongside the caldera and landed a few nice Golden Groupers, which the crew cooked for us for lunch while we laid in the sun and went swimming/snorkeling in a little cove before heading back. It was the best fish meal we have ever had and everything was so fresh. I would highly recommend to anyone who is visting Santorini. It was our favorite part of our whole trip!

This trip could Not have been better! Perfect! Better than expected and we cant say enough about how great this was. If we come back to Santorini, it will be to fish with Makis and his crewmember! Super boat! Best time! Just Wow.

What a day! We had an awesome 5 hours with Makis and Ilia (sp?)! They took us to amazing spots where we caught grouper and ate it for lunch- delicious meal. On our return to port, we caught a 30+ lb bluefin tuna, the highlight of our trip! Highly recommend these guys for your next charter. Beautiful boat, attentive crew, wonderful day!

Captain and his first mate were excellent!! They did their best to catch a fish and the stories they told were great. They made us feel at home and the boat was extremely well maintained. This trip is great for a family looking for a private experience of the waters and a unique experience of Santorini.

Got a couple fish but this was more history and sunset cruise then fishing. it was absolutely amazing!!! It was just me and my husband and we LOVE to fish but were not disappointed. Beautiful weather in May and topography!! Captain stole the show! He is a delight. His Boat “B” haha was very entertaining.

For the perfect family trip while on vacation in Santorini, there’s no need to look anywhere else. Captain Makris and Elias gave my family an authentic Greek experience that we will never forget. The boat is immaculate, the scenery is incredible, and we ate our catch less than an hour after it was captured. These gentlemen are kind, courteous, and professional. I hope that I am blessed enough to fish with them again someday in the future.

It was amazing! Captain Mikas and Elias were the best hosts, The meet up was easy. Good communication. We had a fish on within the first 20 minutes.. they made the most delicious dinner. And the snorkeling was great. The sunset was brilliant! We would do it again in a minute!
