Alaskan Widespread Fishing – Power Boat
“Come as a client and leave as a friend” is more than a motto for Alaskan Widespread Fishing Adventures – it is a business and personal practice. Most of the people that come and fish with Mindy and Reubin and their crew, love fishing. If you love to fish, you already have a common bond!
Join Mindy and Reubin and their certified captains to explore the world-famous Kenai River and Alaskan famous fisheries, targeting King, Coho, Pink, and Sockeye Salmon, as well as Arctic Char, Steelhead, and Rainbow Trout in season. Your guide will show you the top local techniques to hook your catch, including trolling, back bouncing, casting, drifting, wading, and fly fishing.
While peak season is from May to October, Alaskan Widespread Fishing Adventures can take you on a trip to remember at any time of year.
You will be fishing aboard a 20’ Willie Predator power boat, built back in 2007 and overhauled in 2020. It comes powered by a single Yamaha engine and can accommodate up to 4-5 anglers. The boat is rigged with a GPS, a fishfinder to aid your search for the fish, and a cooler loaded with bait (when open) to make sure nothing can resist your hooks.
The trips with Alaskan Widespread are all-inclusive; all you have to bring is a valid fishing license, your food, and drinks.

If you have a family member regardless of ages, you’ll catch the fish and have a blast. Captain Hunter took us to a spot easily accessible by kids and ladies then moved to a spot more fish was found as we get more comfortable with the water and fishing. Kiddos to Hunter.

I am 74 years old with bad balance and artificial knees and our guide Garret was so helpful, helping me in and out of the water and the boat. We let them know I wasn't great at standing on invisible boulders in the water so he took us to a very sandy type beach so I was comfortable wading above my knees. We had a middle river trip planned, but they called the night before to tell us how good the fishing was the day before in the lower river and asked if we wanted to change, letting us know we'd more than likely catch our limits. THEN it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day, light breeze so not too hot and we slammed em! I'm still learning how to 'floss' properly so I lost quite a few, but still thrilling. My friend also is new at flossing and Garrett spent extra time with us, coaching and adjusting our casts. Highly recommend this company, they'll be honest with you, and the price is very reasonable by comparison.
We move to a different launching area than originally planned due to changes to fishing reports. Seth was at the docks before our arrival and had everything set up and ready to go. Once we were situated at our fishing location... we started catching sockeyes within minutes! We caught our daily limit, but most importantly, we had a blast! Hey Seth... this posting is from the Brown Brothers (one from Layton). Thanks for a great trip and hope to see you again soon!
We had a really great day on the water with Dallas. He helped up catch salmon and guided us when we needed to fix our technique. The entire family enjoyed the day. The communication prior to fishing was amazing. They communicated multiple times before we left. I highly recommend this company.

Got a limit very fast. Very much enjoyed the trip. Highly recommend those guys!
This was a trip of a life time with captain Dallas! 1 person in our group lived in Alaska for 44 years and could never hook a red let alone land one. After Dallas showed us how to fish reds we all got our limit. Great day, great captain, great fun!! Dallas was personable, friendly and extremely helpful! We will be back ! Thank you!

Kacey was awesome, we caught a lot of fish and had great time. Would definitely recommend!
Noah knows the Upper Kenai as good as any captain! He’s an amiable fellow, clear in his guidance and a superior boat handler. I’d take a trip with him anytime!
My wife and I fished a half day trip with Garrett. We had an incredible time! Garrett made everything easy and put us on fish all day. I can’t recommend Widespread and Garrett enough! If you’re looking for a guide on the Kenai, this is it!
THIS TRIP WAS AWESOME! I’ve never done anything like this and was traveling alone. Nathan was our guide and made me feel so welcomed and was patient in teaching me how to cast and reel in when I caught a salmon. I left the day with four sockeye to send home, and I had an absolutely wonderful day. I’ve already recommended this trip and company to others I’ve met along my trip and will definitely do it again on my next trip to Alaska. Only issue was that one of my hip boot waders had a hole, so my foot was wet all day. Definitely an unpredictable issue, and it didn’t ruin my day :) Thank you guys!

We spent the day on the Kasilof River with Captain Hunter, Jordan, and Noah. We caught two nice Sockeye Salmon on a relaxing float down the river. The crew were knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks for a nice trip.
Knowledgeable, accommodating guide who worked hard to ensure everyone caught their limit. Fun trip. Would recommend.
Great silver salmon trip! landed all 3 fish we hooked, even the one that was barely hooked!
