Captain Dennis Hunter has had years to learn all the best fishing spots in the area and he's eager to share his knowledge with his customers. Superstars of these waters are Rainbow and Brown Trout that live in warmer waters, and then you've got Northern Pike that prefers things to be cooler.
This kind of warm water-cold water (two-story) fishery is something the area is famous for, and your guide has specialized trips that allow you to explore both options. Choose your expedition based on your angling preferences, and bear in mind that both Pike and Trout are outstanding fighters and getting them out of the water will be a challenge.
To start and finish off your trip right, you will need a reliable boat to take you out. Capt. Dannis has just the thing – his 21' Nitro boat has more than enough space and fishability to take you where the best catch hides. She's powered by a single 300 HP Mercury Verado engine, has the capacity to accommodate up to 4 persons and have them fish at the same time.
The vessel is fast, reliable, and makes for an excellent fishing platform on the lake waters. If the fish trail takes you to the shallows, don't worry, the captain will use the wireless trolling motor to get you close even to the spookiest of fish. Top range rods, reels, and tackle are all provided for you, so you can leave your own at home.
Kids are welcome to join in on the trips, it's always fun having them on the boat and teaching them the fishing basics. Capt. Dennis will supply life vests for them, you just make sure to come with snacks and drinks for everybody.

Dennis was very well prepared with his boat and fishing gear ready to go at the boat ramp. He was professional and courteous as soon as we met. Shortly there after we went over a few basics and headed out on the water. Dennis worked hard while making good conversation for the entire 6hr trip. His hard work payed off getting us on some big fish. He was patient and a very very knowledgeable fisherman! We definetly got our money's worth plus!

We had a solid day with a steady bite with each member of our family of four catching two fish. I would absolutely recommend this charter and was worth the price and then some. Make sure to bring binoculars for the wildlife you’ll see close to the lake and on the charter! We saw bison, wild donkeys, mule deer, and several pronghorn on the way in and out of the lake area.

Captain Dan knows the lake very well and does an amazing job putting you on the fish! if not for the beautiful lake and fishing the views of the mountains are worth the trip alone!
First time fishing in Colorado and the whole family really enjoyed it! Dennis was an outstanding captain and we would book him again. He was very knowledgeable and worked hard for us to catch the trout! Highly enjoyable trip!
