Balihoo Boat 

We had an awesome time on this fishing charter! We ended up catching 3 mahi mahi, and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. The crew was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure we had a great day on the water. They were helpful throughout the trip and made the experience fun and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a great fishing charter with a professional and friendly crew, I definitely recommend booking with them. We had a great time and would absolutely do it again!

good communication and super good guides really did a great job of trying to accommodate our wishes. From what we heard, Fishing wasn’t great for anyone in the area which is no fault of the guide but they knew what was biting and where the action was. We landed a couple nice Baracuda’s and a medium size grouper so not the trophies we were hoping for but we didn’t get skunked either! we had nice fresh bait caught in a net that morning and as fast as a hook was brought up our guide was already there baiting it up. it was a great time and would use these boys again!

Crew were great and a lot of help, they took us too a few different spots targeting different species of fish. We caught 2 barracuda & 1 Spanish mackerel … got bit off by a monster mahi 😭 lol Took us too a beautiful spot to snorkel which we seen so many fish , a huge friendly stingray and 2 smaller ones too, they really didn’t disappoint. I don’t think you’ll get a better worth of money for what you pay with these guys 100% recommend, especially if you’re looking to do a bit of both (fishing & snorkelling) .

We went out today (late September) and had a great time with Captain Balta and Willy. They told us that fishing has been slow but had a game plan to help us catch some fish. Started out the morning right off the bat with a nice barracuda! My wife got sea sick and they took us to a beach to help for a bit. Got right back on the water and caught two more barracuda! Captain Balta cut us some filet’s to take home. It was a great relaxing time!

Had an absolute blast. We were celebrating our honeymoon and they made the trip easy and fun. We started morning off bottom fishing and caught tons of red snapper in under an hour. They fixed us up probably the best meal of the trip with amazing ceviche! They surprised us with a little bottle of bubbly to celebrate too! We spent almost an hour checking out the reef with them guiding us and showing us amazing spots. We saws tons of conk, fish, a stingray, sand dollars, starfish, and so much more. Did a tiny bit of trolling but weren’t catching much then due to weather. Hands down the best day and 100% recommend them for your fishing trip!

my two boys and myself both caught fish. Mahi Mahi were the fish of the day. I cought a five ft long Mahi Mahi and the boys caught some two and a half footers. I got a couple blisters from reeling in the fish but no complaints here. We did the 4 hr 730am excursion. Well worth it and would recommend. captain and crew were amazing, and spoke English well and communication was easy. They new where to find the fish, but fishing is fishing and won't be the same everytime. I would do another trip with them for sure next time we are down here in Playa del Carmen

Merci capitaine Balta et son second pour cette sortie familiale avec nos deux enfants de 4 et 8 ans qui ont vecu une superbe experience. La peche aux gros n’a pas ete au rendez-vous mais la tortue et la raie que nous avons vu en snorkeling etait un moment incroyable sur un spot où nous etions tous seul. Suivi d’un guacamole preparé pendant ce temps la par le capitaine, moment exceptionnel. Nous avons ensuite pêché des « petits » poissons (20-30cm) que toute la famille a pu attraper. Nous recommandons a 100% cette experience !

Absolutely amazing fishing trip! Lucio and Leo were outstanding guides—knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made sure we were comfortable, having fun, and constantly on fish. In just a 4-hour trip we caught around 45 fish, which far exceeded our expectations. The guides were great at spotting fish sites and helping with technique. If you’re looking for an unforgettable fishing experience with top-notch guides, I can’t recommend Balihoo Boat/Lucio and Leo enough. We will definitely be back! 🎣🐟

meeting place what right near pin location and boad was well labeled. we got there a little early and captain was already ready for us. told us whay we would target but also asked if there was anything specific we wanted to do. we were fortunate the fish were hungry and biting! we had a great time trolling and relaxing in between fish. we opted to have the little restaurant cook our fish and gave the rest to the captain. our fish was amazing and we had so much food! such a fantastic day even with a little rain i would go again in a heartbeat!

this was my second time going out with Captain Remeriz. him and his crew are great. My buddy came in from colorado and this was his bucket list item for the trip and Captain Rameriz delivered! We caught 9 Mahi. Cap cleaned them for us on the dock and we cooked up 3 right there and took 3 home. What an incredible day!
