Whether you're an expert or someone just starting out in the awesome world of fishing, he's got your back.
You'll be fishing from his 25' Majek bay boat that runs on a 300 HP Suzuki engine. There's enough room here for up to 6 guests, so bring a few friends along and come aboard. The boat has all the necessary safety gear and navigational electronics to ensure a safe and productive day on the water.
When it comes to the fishing itself, you're in for a fun time exploring these Texan inshore waters and flats. Your trip starts with a 15–20 minute boat ride to the fishing spots, allowing you to also do a bit of sightseeing of the local islands. When you start fishing you'll be targeting Trout and Redfish for the most part, but there's also Sheepshead, Flounder, Black Drum, and others out there.
All the necessary rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the trip price. There's also some water and soda on the boat, but you're more than welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks. Other things you should bring include polarized sunglasses and sunscreen for the best possible experience. Come on down and get ready to catch some fish!

He then proceeded to work extremely hard to ensure we had a great time and caught fish. we managed to catch a few trout, a few reds and then when things slowed down a bit he put us on black drum like crazy. Start to finish a wonderful trip!

It was our first time doing a trip like this because we are from Colorado. My son and I are just used to regular fishing at lakes and ponds. So Visiting South Padre Island and getting this trip marked off our bucket list was an awesome experience and Also it was his birthday gift he requested. Our captain took extra care of my son and put on us on some really good hot spots, we cought a total of 20 fish and my son cooight 16 and I cought 4. My son was so excited and that's all that mattered to me thanks to our Captain he was very knowledgeable of the area and made this experience one not to forget, Thank you Get'm hooked/ Arturo Calderas.

Full Day Trip on June 5, 2025 • 1 adultThe captain and I had communicated about my style of fishing and how I preferred to fish if possible and Arturo came through. We started out chasing birds and casting for speckled trout and i caught them for 2 hours straight! We switched to live bait to go for a big speck and i nailed it! Right under 20inches for my limit of specks. We switched to red fish and Arturo got me onto a big red fish immediately! I enjoyed myself and will be using Arturo again and i suggest you do to! Friendly, professional and most importantly caught fish! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

Half Day Trip (AM) on May 25, 2025 • 4 adultsCaught a trout on my first cast and it was on from there! Our family group of 4 reeled in over 30 fish. We had 10 sea trout keepers in 2 hours with 3 hours to go! GREAT time! He kept us on the fish all day. We tried for red fish for an hour, had no luck but still caught fish. Tried a different technique on sea trout and caught our limit with time to spare. Great captain. Helped us, explained things clearly and was calm the whole time! Thanks Arturo!

My best friend and I have been friends since we were 10 years old, and now in our 50s we decided to spend a girls weekend in Padre Island. One of the best parts of our trip was our fishing trip with Get’m Hook’d Fishing Charter and Captain Arturo! We had such a great time, caught fish, laughed nonstop, and made even more wonderful memories together. Captain Arturo was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun and relaxing. We highly recommend booking a trip with him if you’re visiting Padre Island!
Captain Alturo was great. Got us on some redfish on our first stop of the morning. He also did a great job of watching the weather and getting us off the water before the rain started. We’ll definitely book him on our next trip to SPI.
We caught redfish and speckled trout. Captain Art was great. He put us on fish at each move. He knew where to go and when to switch bait. Highly recommend him.
Although the fish weren't cooperating, as other guides had similar challenges that day, Arturo made it fun and we kept aggressively working the schools of fish. We caught 3 keepers and still had a great time and will fish again next year with Arturo.
