Jawbreaker Fishing Charters has been providing customers of all ages and experience levels with an exceptional offshore experience for over 15 years. Located in Gulfport, FL the charter is only a short drive away for all anglers in Clearwater, Tampa Bay, and other surrounding areas. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned angler, Captain Chris Sheffield will have a private fishing trip designed for your level of experience.
So if you want to spend some relaxing time on the water with family and friends and target whatever's biting that day, you'll be able to do just that. On the other hand, anglers who want to pursue a specific fish can book one of the charter's longer trips and go after the catch of a lifetime!
You will spend the day aboard the Jawbreaker II, a 32' Wellcraft with all the amenities needed for a great day of fishing. The Jawbreaker II is equipped with a hardtop to escape the sun, comfortable seating, plenty of space for fishing, and cold storage for your drinks and food. It also features a live well, radar, GPS and fish finding equipment. The boat is fully equipped with all required USCG safety equipment.
The captain will provide you with all the gear you'll need to fish. Rods & reels are all top of the line, you'll be using custom Star rods and top-notch Penn reels. If you'll be using live bait on your trip, this too will be taken care of by the captain ahead of time at no extra cost. Fishing licenses are also covered by the charter, so no need to worry about getting one ahead of time.
All you need to bring with you are drinks, snacks, sunscreen, and sunglasses. After this short checklist has been taken care of, you'll be ready to get on the water.

Extended Half Day Trip on April 8, 2023 • 3 adultsWe had a great 5 hours heading out about 15 miles. First bottom fishing where we caught snapper and grouper . Then went trolling and caught our limit of king fish. When we returned to the marina Captain Chris filleted the fish and we took to a nearby restaurant for a hook and cook lunch. It was great day!!!!

Captain Chris put us on the fish and Jack was there to help us with our every need. The boat and equipment are top notch. We will definately be seeing them in the fall for a longer trip when it is cooler. We definitely had the trip of a lifetime today.

3/4 Day Trip on July 19, 2020 • 4 adultsHIGHLY RECOMMEND! Five star all around!! I originally booked a 6 hour tour- but unfortunately due to weather we had to turn in and we weren't able to go out as far as originally planned. I was VERY impressed that Captain Will and first mate Chris were experienced and honest enough to navigate us to the best fishing spots to target the specific species I wanted (hog fish) AND brought us back right in time to dodge the storm. Other companies might have told us the storm wouldn't have been too bad so they could keep the 6 hour payment rather than refunding me for the other two hours. Our safety was made a priority and I am truly grateful. Will and Chris were super tentative and helpful. They both work great together and really hustled to make sure we hit multiple spots even with limited time. I live on Clearwater Beach with dozens and dozens of different fishing charter companies to choose from. Gulfport is about a 45 minute drive from my home- but, I will certainly be making the trip back to Gulfport to do another Jawbreaker charter- despite the dense fishing charter population right in my backyard. Highly recommend. These guys are the real deal and know what they're doing!

Tyler very good captain overall we had a great t8me would definitely go agian
captain and first mate where kind, but i find it odd that they fish when you are paying them to take you fishing. i got tangled a couple times with first mate. no live bait, took a wrong turn when headed out and ran skag into the sand. It seemed like all they where worried about was putting fish in the cooler, and not catching quality fish. my Uncle that went with us waited over an hour to meet up with captin to get the fish fillets and he never showed up. he was parked in the same spot when we met the captain earlier that morning. The trip was just okay at best
A friend and I took the boys out to get some fish for fish Tacos. Well we will be eating tacos for days. We had an awesome day on the water. Caught fish after fish. If they stopped biting Captian Chris was on the move to the next hot spot. We caught plenty for tacos and then went trolling for kings. Within seconds of getting the trolling lines down we had on a double. We proceeded to catch a king on every pass till we said that’s good enough. I will be booking with him again the next time we come to Florida.
