If you're ready to start fishing in Delavan and Geneva Lake, we've got you covered with Geneva Lake Bait & Tackle Fishing Guide Service. With Captain Dan at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Around here the fishing is popular for Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Muskellunge (Musky), Yellow Perch, Crappie, Sunfish, and more, depending on the time of year. During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, drifting, jigging, or bottom fishing. In winter you will be ice fishing.
Your vessel for the day is a 24' Sanpan pontoon boat with space for 6 to 8 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. If you booked one of the ice fishing packages, you will find yourself fishing out of hard and soft ice shacks, for groups of up to 10 people. Dan will provide all bait and tackle except sucker Minnows and dead bait Smelt for ice fishing.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Dan put us on the fish again. My son caught 3 pike, 2 of which were good size. He also caught 4 bass, 3 of which were good size. Dan knows where the fish are and he knows how to catch them. We will be definitely using his services again. Book him and you won’t be disappointed.

We had nonstop opportunities to chase our target species, and the action never really let up. Even better were the surprise fights—hooking into bullhead, largemouth, and a northern pike on light panfish gear made every moment exciting. Picked up some great techniques from Captain Dan, who was incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Already looking forward to the next trip.
We caught pike this year .Most were in the 3 to 5 lb range . The last one that Donovan caught was probably close to 10 lbs . We caught one bass about 3 lbs . last year we caught bass in the 2 to 3 lb range . Dan puts you on te fish .
Dan took us to his favorite spots and we did well. it was interesting that wherever we stop others lingered close by. He knew my grandson was trying to catch a monster. so he worked extra hard to make it happen
The Captain definitely knew where to fish. We brought in a few nice Bass and Northern. We lost a few that felt very nice. That’s not on him, thats on us lol. We had a great time.
Daniel was a wonderful captain and guide with much knowledge of fishing. It was our first time ice fishing and we had a great experience! Daniel was kind and helpful, ensuring that we got some great catches and our biggest catch yet! We will be back to Delavan Lake to book a fishing trip again with captain Daniel!

Daniel was great and fulfilled our wish to get our first northern pike (5 of them) and a couple great large mouths too!
Thanks so much Dan for helping us learn to fish and your patience! Super chill and peace trip! You definitely know the good spots.
my son and I did a 4 hour foshing trip woth Captain Dan! we had tons of fun and caught 7 or 8 fish. Large mouth Bass, perch, walley and pike! We made great memories and would definitely to it again!
Took 6 yr old grandson for 2 hours and it was great. Captain Daniel had all the fishing gear, warming shack and ATV to transport us across the ice. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced and it put us at ease. It was slow at first, but fishing in good weather with warm shack was still fishing! When the fish finally started biting, it was all at once and we were not disappointed! Captain Dan made sure our grandson experienced all the fun: tugging on the line, reeling in the huge Northern Pike, and largemouth Bass, holding fish for pictures and releasing them headfirst very gently! 2 hours yielded 3 Pike, 1 largemouth bass and a little boy who wants to be a fishing guide just like captain Daniel. Thank you for a great ice fishing trip.

We had an amazing time with Daniel! He knew exactly where to go to catch good fish and make the day a lot of fun. Both of us caught our first northern pike! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to have fun on the lake and catch big fish!
