Join the experienced captain Ryan, who's been fishing these waters since he was a teenager. With lots of knowledge and patience, he'll help any guest to become an angler by the end of the trip.
Tropical Sun is a custom 45' Bertram sport fisher redone in 2019, with all the latest modern technology and creature comforts. In spring 2022 installed a new Seakeeper 6 gyro stabilizer. This new technology reduces 70-90% of the boat's roll on the ocean and greatly reduces motion sickness. Fully air-conditioned cabin, full-size refrigerator/freezer, satellite TV, WiFi, new Garmin chart plotter/radar, chirp sounder/fishfinder, 2 Garmin VHFs, Eskimo Dometic ice maker, Spot Zero water purified water, we make our own ice, and much more. Large flybridge seating/ viewing area and a large cockpit with release marine 130 fighting chair. There's enough room for 6 guests to fish in comfort.
Come fish the deep blue calm water for gigantic Blue Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Ono, and other pelagic species. There's a variety of fishing techniques to use and it all depends on what you're after and how challenging you want it to be.
Tackle is ranging from light tackle to heavy 130 lbs tackle, professionally maintained and tournament ready. The equipment is included in the price, as well as your licenses and soft drinks. Feel free to bring some snacks and sun protection.

Had a trip cancelled on Saturday for weather and this was our last shot. Booked last minute and Capt Ryan called to warn us he wasn’t sure but was hopeful for Tuesday. Weather worked out. Capt Ryan and Mate Cary were very friendly and answered all questions. They kept working to put us on fish and boy did they. My Wife and daughter got their first blue marlin and my son got a spearfish. Then capped it off towards the end of the day with a triple on yellowfin tuna. All around a great day. A+ outfit

Our group was pretty exhausted, so we were definitely running on low energy, but we still had a lot of fun and enjoyed being out on the water. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch any fish, but we got to see dolphins and whales, which made the experience totally worth it! Even without a catch, it was a fun memory and a great way to spend the day in Hawaii!

The seakeeper made the trip survivable for us. There is a full size fridge for drinks and sandwiches and AC in the cabin. We brought in 2 tuna which made some amazing sushi and steaks! Thank you for putting in the work to get us on fish! Highly recommend going out with this crew!

Crew mentioned that it was slow day but had several bites. Caught a nice short billed spearfish. It tasted incredible and shared it with several others where we were staying. Recommend considering if you want a great comfortable charter!

But anyway. We booked an 8 hr trip. I had the most amazing experience catching my first marlin. Captain Andy and Lineman Kerry were by my side to help make it happen. Unfortunately, that was the only opportunity the ocean presented us with that day. That’s why it’s called fishing they say. It’s an expensive experience I wish my husband could’ve gotten in a fish.

6 Hour Fishing Charter 10:30am on April 21, 2026 • 2 adultsThe boat, equipped and the crew were great! caught a couple of fish in the first hour but then was super slow the rest of the day. but had a great time! One nice thing about the boat is that anyone can get on it and be comfortable even being sea sick. Don’t forget to bring your sunscreen… unless you want to end up looking like a tomato.
