Captain Buddy’s Outdoor Adventures 

My wife and I went on our very first fishing charter, and it was an absolute 10/10 experience! Our captain was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and made the entire trip enjoyable from start to finish. You can tell Buddy and his crew know what they’re doing and truly care about giving their customers a great experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better first fishing charter! We would highly recommend Buddy and his crew to anyone looking for a great day out on the water. We will definitely be back!

This is the second year in a row we’ve come from Knoxville Tennessee to Hilton head to fish with Captain Buddy’s crew. Last year was Captain Buddy and this year was Captain Jay. This group has consistently given us a great experience, from the boat & gear, knowledge of the area to find fish, and the professional and friendly demeanor of our guide each time.  We didn’t have to bring anything except ourselves. We plan to use them again next year!

I highly recommend this deep sea fishing trip. Captain Jay was so attentive and ready to bait our lines as soon as we needed. He was so quick and knowledgeable. We would have loved to catch some Spanish Mackerel but did not have the opportunity to. We did, however; catch 2 bonnethead shark, 4 trout, pinfish, croaker, whiting and threw back a spade fish, toadfish, sheepshead, and a few others. We must have left the boat with 6 larger fish and maybe ten small fish. Not only was the trip fruitful, but it was extremely fun. We were even provided with a recipe for our bonnethead shark to make tacos! Thank you Captain Jay for an amazing time!

Captain Buddy’s Outdoor Adventure was a wonderful experience for our family. Captain Buddy was very educational in explaining how to fish in salt water. We all learned alot plus had some great catches! He took extra time and effort to make sure we had a great time. He was extra patient with the kids in the group who are already talking about their next fishing trip with Captain Buddy! We will absolutely be returning to fish with him! Thank you Captain Buddy!!

We had Captain Jay. he was really great. He was constantly changing bait, moving locations if we weren’t catching fish. He would help with the rigs and explaining how certain fish hit the line. I have chartered A LOT if boats. I will be booking Captain Jay next year. If you dont catch fish, it’s the fish not the Captain! Everyone had a great time. Three kids and two adults.

Started out a cold and windy morning so was unable to fish near shore or out in the open sea due to small craft advisory. Captain Jay did a great job of finding up inland water way fishing spots and we had fun catching many varieties of fish including several king fish that we took home. We all had a great time and will do this again in the future.

Such a great time! My 13 yr old son’s 1st charter and it went perfectly. Went out a few miles off shore with Capt Jay and immediately got into fish. We kept 7 spanish mackerel and a sea trout. Along with that we had caught a bunch of bottom fish unfortunately too small to keep and one decent shark. Capt Jim was very professional and was enjoyable to be around. I would recommend this charter group to anyone and plan on using them again when back in the area.

We had Captain Jay and I can honestly say it was one of the best HHI charters we have been on. Booked the 3hr afternoon shark trip. Told Jay ahead of time that we had been skunked 4 straight years on HHI charters. He said he would do his best to break the slump and boy did he deliver!!!! 8 sharks in the boat, a stingray including a 6ft bullhead shark. Talk about a slump buster! Jay kept us on the fish abd didn’t waste time on spots that werent producing. Highly recommend Captain Buddy’s especially Captain Jay!

Had an incredible morning on the water with Captain Buddy. They knew exactly where the fish were biting and we were able to catch a good amount of fish, including a few species of shark. The captain was incredibly patient and helpful with everyone on board. Highly recommend Captain Buddy for an unforgettable fishing trip!

Jay was a great captain, he moved us around to find the bite. Everyone caught fish and we lost a BIG fish (Jay said probably a big bull shark) after a great fight. other than shortening the trip by a bit due to lightning, it was a great time. would highly recommend this outfit.
