We had a great time fishing with Jason yesterday! We caught a variety of fish and really enjoyed the experience. He knows the area well and was able to help us catch a flounder and a red drum, which we wanted to try and get. Also got a nice trout, small grouper, a croaker, and tons of mackerel! We will definitely be back!
Spent 2 days with my 3 sons on charters with Captain Jason. Awesome trips and first class experiences. Caught a bunch of trout and drum. We’ll be back next year!
March in North Carolina can be a hard time to get on the water for anything. Jason was very flexible with schedule changes as they related to weather and was quick to communicate. Jason was good with our inexperienced group being patient especially with the kids and informative with the adults. We all caught some fish and had a wonderful experience that we will never forget. It is an experience and a captain that I would definitely recommend.
If I could encourage one thing, the captain should have had our bait before our trip. Much of our time was spent trying to acquire bait. I felt like we shouldn’t have had to pay for that time. He did try hard to put us on some fish despite rough circumstances. The fishing conditions were not ideal. Captain, work on communication with your clients. I did have a great time and enjoyed some of the scenery including the wild horses. Didn’t catch much for our dollar but did have a good experience.

My son Connor and I had a great time fishing the Back Sound with Jason at the helm. We hooked into four keepers (two red drums and two speckled trout), as well as several lizard fish and puffer fish and a few other trout and drum that were too small to keep. Jason has a great setup and is extremely knowledgeable about fishing and the area. He was also very patient with my super eager son and helped him land both drum — a big goal of his for the trip. You can’t beat the landscape, either — lush islands and sand bars, beautiful views, wild horses and all types of birds. It was an experience we will remember for a long time, and we’ll definitely hook up with Jason again next time we’re in the area.
We had a great 1/2 day trip with Capt. Jason. He helped my wife catch her 1st fish ever. We caught a lot of fish & Jason worked hard to make that happen. He is very knowledgeable about the waters on both sides of the banks and how to fish them. Jason is also very patient with novice anglers & we had a great time fishing with him. As a bonus we got to see wild horses & a large pod of dolphins. It was a great day!
Jason was great. The day started slow, but we stayed with it until we found the perfect spot and caught a lot of fish. My three boys had a great time and would recommend Jason. We will definitely look him up again. Next time we are back in town.

Captain Jason is very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a beautiful morning nearshore and caught Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Sea Trout, and Blue Fish. The Bonita were not cooperative this morning. We got to see dolphins, sea turtles, and a huge sunfish.
Caught 7 bonitas, 5 to 6 bluefish (tossed back) and a couple king mackerel (tossed back). Captain Jason is knowledgeable, friendly, and able to match a persons skill level. Highly recommend
