Your trip will start on 'Runaway', a 45' Sheldon Midgett offshore sport fishing boat. With its powerful 660 HP Cummins engine and top-quality navigation gear, it'll give you a comfortable, dry ride to the hottest fishing spots. The boat's extensive equipment includes outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and livewell.
Among the onboard facilities, there is a toilet, bed, showers, as well as a flybridge. To maximize your comfort, there's also plenty of space, air conditioning, a multimedia system, and an ice-box. There will even be a first mate on board to give you any assistance you may need.

Captain Jay was extremely communicative and even called to let me know the weather wasn't gonna be super ideal - if we wanted to cancel. But we chose to push forward. We had a blast despite the choppy conditions and still caught several fish. I highly recommend a trip on the Runaway. The boat was nice and roomy. Special shout out to Donnie, the 1st mate and fishing Sherpa, he was great to chat with and helped us alot on our journey. If you get a chance to go out with Captain Jay don't hesitate, just book the trip.

Jay put us on the fish and Donny worked hard to get them biting even without much current! We caught over 25 with 20 keepers in our 4 hour trip. Everyone caught something which was nice as several in our group were first timers. The bunch of yellowtails we took home and cooked were delicious! Would highly recommend and hope to fish with Jay again here in The Keys or off the Outerbanks!

Half Day Trip (AM) on November 28, 2023Went with Capt Jay recently on a full and half day. Caught this Wahoo and Sailfish trolling along with some Snapper and Grouper on the bottom. Went for a half day the next day with the kids and caught plenty of Yellowtail and triggerfish. Plenty of delicious fresh fish for our trip and took the rest home to the freezer.

We have fished with him multiple times over the years and he never disappoints! We will certainly be back on The Runaway with Captain Jay every year!

Captain Jay Daniel’s and his mate were awesome! We caught 22 yellow tail and tried caring some sail fish. We seen them but just couldn’t catch them, maybe next time we will do a long fishing trip. Thank you all so much !
