The most important thing for any angler is how bountiful these waters are, but an important part of the whole experience is also the beauty of its nature. Enjoy passing by the submerged trees, diverse vegetation, wildlife, and historical sites, such as wooden steamships from the WWI era.
You’ll be fishing on a 21’ Stratos boat that welcomes up to 2 guests. This bass boat is powered by a 225 HP Evinrude engine and features Humminbird Gen 2 navigational electronics - so you can count on reaching the right spot and fast.
Capt. Joe specializes in catch and release fishing for Largemouth Bass. Besides Largemouth, there are many other species you can go after such as Yellow Perch and Catfish. All of them are fun to catch and a delicacy to eat. Depending on the current regulations, you’ll be able to keep your catch (not Largemouth Bass), so start looking for some fish recipes. You’ll mainly use light tackle to get your catch.
The trips are suitable for anglers of all skill levels, so don’t hesitate to join. All you need to do to get ready is to pack some food and drinks for the day. The captain will take care of your fishing license and equipment by bringing a variety of rods, reels, and lures.

Before we could get frustrated, Joe either changed our location or changed our tackle. After 0 bites over couple of hours Joe got us our first Bigmouth Bass. After catch & release two bigmouth bass, we wanted to change our pace of action and Joe immediately took us to spots to catch catfish. We caught 7 catfish and reieased the small ones to fight another day. Joe helped us clean and fillet the 4 large catfish which we brought home as our trophy.

He knows where the fish are, and does everything he can to take care of his guests. Caught bass first half of the trip, then wanted to try catfish. Joe took us to the best spot - Catfish Alley! By far one of the best trips I’ve been on. Would definitely recommend Joe - I’d go with him again.
