Barbarossa Fishing
Barbarossa Fishing is a Bay Area fishing charter based out of Santa Cruz, California. Come and enjoy a day in nature as you explore the area's beautiful and fish-rich nearshore and offshore waters. You'll have Captain Justin Payton right there to help you and make sure you have a first-rate angling experience, so come aboard and create wonderful memories on the water!
Your trip will start on the 'Barbarossa', a 2015 25' Parker pilothouse boat that can comfortably take 6 guests. It runs on two 150 HP Yamaha engines with a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots, features a flushing toilet, and is equipped with downriggers, outriggers and a livewell.
You'll have the chance to fish the local reefs or travel up to Davenport to find large Lingcod. The captain also specializes in catching Salmon, Rockfish, Crab, Halibut, and other species. The techniques you can try out include deep and bottom sea fishing, trolling, and jigging. You can keep all of your catch if you want and you're free to bring kids on your trip. Salmon fishing will only take place on salmon specific trips.
Captain Justin will provide you with all the rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and lures. You only need to bring fishing licenses and the food and drinks of your choice.

Justin was great - knowledgeable and super friendly; and we saw all the wildlife - seals, porpoises, birds, and of course, fish. Took us a bit to get a bite, but once we did we caught our limit of bonito in about 30 minutes - even got to do a little rock fishing at the end. Overall, a very memorable experience for our first time to Santa Cruz!

He got us on the fish right away which was great for moral as half the group doesnt fish frequently while the other half mainly fresh water fishes. Captain Justin got everybody as many fish as they could get in the boat until they were worn out! Will definitely be booking with Captain Justin again and highly recommend booking with him as well.

My first experience with charter fishing. Tuk put us on fish quickly and told us how to catch them. Caught more than we needed in 3 hour trip. Guide was definitely knowledgeable and very kind and patient. Great trip.
i brought some friends here to celebrate my friends birthday and 10/10 would recommend! Captain Tuk was amazing! we caught a lot of fish and he made it such an memorable experience. we are definitely coming back.
Got on fish immediatly. limited ot on rock all fourof us did. Best in the morning. Captian was great very helpful and fun to fishwith, geat guy! Halbut was slow unfortunatly. Over all good fishin.
