Mister Sportfishing
Mister Sportfishing is based out of the famous Oak Orchard River and will show you how to fish these waters like a pro!
Capt. Jon is here to get you on the trophy fish you've been dreaming about and to make sure you have a blast! On this charter you'll be trolling to get those big bites. As part of the 6 to 8-hour trips, you can target Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, and King Salmon, depending on the current season and weather conditions.
From June to September Mister Sportfishing's primary location is the Oak Orchard River. For the months of April and May we run trips targeting Brown Trout and spring Salmon out of Olcott, NY. We come back to the Oak Orchard River for the remainder of the season; June–Sept.
Your fishing adventure with Capt. Jon starts on a 33’ Trojan International that can safely take up to 6 anglers. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what matters most: fishing! Don't forget to buy your NY fishing license before the trip.
You'll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip. We welcome clients of all ages aboard the 10m Trojan International, please let us know of any special circumstances and we would be happy to accommodate.

We had a very enjoyable time out on the water and had perfect weather. Highly recommend for anyone bere reading the reviews. We brought a small cooler with light snacks and drinks. If keeping fish dont forget a cooler for that. we ended up needing more ice but the Captain pointed us to a cool bait shop down the road which was cool to check out.

Full Day Trip on May 16, 2025 • 2 adultsCaptain Jonathon and his first mate Arron did a fabulous job. My son and I were had a great day. They worked so hard to not only put us on the fish but to keep us on them. They took extra time to work with my son and give him pointers and tricks. My son was reeling a fish in before they even had all the rods in the water. Will definitely be looking to book them again in the future. Best of luck the the captain and his crew on the tournament this weekend.

4 Hour Afternoon Trip on July 23, 2024 • 3 adultsWe couldn't have asked for a better day on the water. Great weather, calm water, and great fishing. Captian Jonathan had us on the fish early and often. Within minutes of leaving the dock we had our first brown trout on deck. Captain Jonathan was fantastic. He knew exactly where to go and kept us on the fish all day. We pulled plenty of brown trout and a couple of king salmon. The boat was clean, well kept and well equipped. This was our first time booking a fishing charter. We had a great time and would highly recommend Captian Jonathan and Mr. Sportfishing!

4 hr brown trout special on July 10, 2025 • 6 adultsWe thought an afternoon/evening trip might be hot and tough fishing. It was a little hot, but when Captain John and Hunter found them and got us reeling in Browns and a couple of Atlantic Salmon, you forget about the heat. We kept 9 and threw back the rest. We had fun and will be eating fish tonight on the grill. We are from Georgia and would do it again if we come back up here.
