From its reefs to flats to backcountry waters, Tampa Bay offers you first-class angling options with plenty of different species to chase. Your trip will start on a restored 22' Nautic Star center console with enough room for 4 guests. The boat runs on a 225 HP supercharged Mercury Verado engine and uses Garmin GPS and a fishfinder with side scanning and ClearVu. The boat features a wireless trolling motor with a spot lock and an ice-box to store your fish and drinks. The boat has also got a livewell to keep live bait.
Some of the many species you'll encounter on your trip include Snook, Tarpon, Shark, Gag Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, and Sheepshead. You'll catch your prey by bottom fishing and spinning on light and heavy tackle and you're allowed to keep your catch. Generally, kids over 8 are welcome to join your trip.
Before you start your trip, you should only bring some snacks. Captain David will take care of all the fishing gear, live bait, drinks, as well as catch cleaning, and his license covers everybody on the boat.

2-3 Hour Beginner Trip on October 10, 2026 • 3 adults • 1 childWe booked a 2-hour fishing charter with Captain David for my son’s 8th birthday, and it was an incredible experience! Our original charter was scheduled for the afternoon, but with some bad weather moving in, Captain David offered to move us to the morning so we could still get out on the water and enjoy some fishing for his big day. He was very responsive, quick to answer messages, and took the time to answer all of my questions. Captain David picked us up right at the dock, and we were off! We fished multiple spots and caught something at every location. Toward the end of the trip, my son mentioned that his grandmother really wanted him to catch a redfish. Captain David immediately said, “I know a spot!” About 30 minutes later, we had a redfish on the boat! It was an awesome day from start to finish. Captain David was patient, kind, and explained everything as we went, making the experience fun and memorable for my son. My son has already said he only wants to go on another fishing charter with Captain David! If you’re looking for a great fishing charter captain, this is your guy. Book with him if you get the chance. We will definitely be back!

Half Day Trip on July 12, 2026 • 2 adultsThis was my husband's and my first saltwater fishing trip, and we had a blast with Captain David. We enjoyed the fact that it was a private charter. We caught mangrove snapper, red fish, toad fish (ugliest fish I've ever seen), and catfish, but only 5 of the snapper were keeping size. We got to see a shark and some dolphins. The only downside was that we had to clean our own fish, but that was no problem. My husband is quite good at it. Thanks, Captain David, for a great trip, and we hope to see you again on our next visit.

We caught a bunch of Snapper, Speckled Trout, Bonnethead Shark, Jack Carvel Fish, Spanish Mackerel and more on a beginning of August 4 hr trip. David is super knowledgeable about the Bay and knows what to catch at any givin season. I will definitely ask him to guide us again the next time we come back.

We booked our trip for Saturday 03 October for a 4-hour morning adventure. He put us in/on a few locations to maximize our charter experience. We caught Redfish, Ladyfish, and Catfish. He is very good natured, kind, and has great customer service skills & communication. You will not have to bait your own hooks, ever. He made the trip very fun. Definitely recommend him. Very good guy.
David took us as a last minute booking. Was communicative and very knowledgeable. Went to several spots and each time were getting hits right away. well worth it. thanks David.
