Fishseeker Charters takes you out on a fun and productive day of fishing in the beautiful waters Northern Territory. Skipper Robert Marchant operates out of Darwin and can take you to the area's near coastal waters, reefs, flats, as well as rivers. The skipper is a cordial fisherman who loves taking his guest to Australia's bountiful waters. Pick your day and join him aboard for a wonderful day on the water.
Your adventure will start on or my 6.6 metre Aluminium custommade GS Marine fitted with 175 hp Suzuki that can safely take up to 4 fishos,The craft is equipped with GPS, fishfinder, side scan and forward scanning technology and VHF radio, esky you can use to store your catch.
You and Skipper Robert will be fishing in Darwin Harbour searching for Barramundi, Queenfish, Threadfin Salmon, Trevally, and more using light tackle. If you want, you can keep the fish you catch and enjoy some tasty meals when back home. Kids are welcome to come aboard – bring them along and spend a lovely day on the water with your family.
The skipper will cover you for all the fishing rods, reels, tackle, as well as fly fishing gear. He also supplies drinks and provides lunch on 10-hour trips.

We had the most fantastic half day trip with an amazing captain! He was so knowledgeable about the fishing areas to use and taught us better techniques than I had been using for years! Talked to us about tides and tactics for catching fish and about different lures and stuff. We had a lot of fun chasing tuna around but ended up catching other fish in the end. Robbie is an absolute gem would recommend this charter to anyone!!!

First off, way before the booked trip, Robert reached out and explained the conditions and tides of the day, and recommended a better day and time instead. He patiently answered our questions (and some wayward requests), and stayed in touch (for weeks) right up to the day of our charter. My brother was totally new to fishing or even casting a lure, but Robert paid a lot of attention to teach, guide and encourage him throughout the trip. Consequently, my brother (who's 60+) caught fish notwithstanding the difficult conditions and had a very memorable time. I've fished with guides before, and Robert demonstrated all the marks of a professional: not giving excuses for no fish and constantly moving to find good spots suitable for our abilities. The tackle is spot on: just for the 2 of us he brought along a whole brace of rods and kept giving us different ones to try according to the conditions. The boat is an open plate aluminum boat very suited for lure fishing and very comfortable and stable, with the side of just the right height (gunwales). It was all money and time well spent, and, an unforgettable experience to keep. He is the quintessential Aussie character. Thank you Robert, hope to fish with you again sometime. Cheers.
Had a great day light tackle fishing for barramundi in the Darwin Harbor area with Captain Rob. As someone who has fished all over the world, I highly recommend his Darwin area trips as a great way for a first time visitor to experience accessible world class barra fishing in Australia. Should you decide to keep your catch, Captain Rob can show you where it can be cooked to order at a local restaurant on the Stokes Hill Wharf.

Always been on the bucket list to catch a barramundi and Robert helped us tick that one off. Covered lots of water, if one area didn't work he moved us on to the next. A fantastic day and Roberts knowledge was invaluable....a fantastic day all around with plenty of barra landed
