Captain Eric Newberry will take you out to the area's rich offshore waters and make sure you catch fish and have an enjoyable experience. Pick a date and join the captain in Venice, Louisiana for a fishing adventure you won't soon forget!
Your trip will take place on a 42' Razorcat catamaran boat that can comfortably and safely take up to 6 anglers. It runs on four 350 HP Suzuki engines, providing a rapid reach to the desired fishing spots. The boat uses extensive navigation electronics and is equipped with outriggers, downriggers, and a livewell. It also comes with an ice-box for storing your drinks.
On your trip, you'll be fishing for Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, Grouper, Snapper, Swordfish, and more. The techniques you can expect to use to reel them in include heavy tackle, bottom fishing, big game fishing, trolling, and jigging. You'll be keeping the fish you catch. Kids are free to join your trip, so bring them aboard and have a beautiful family day on the water.
Captain Eric provides you with the fishing rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and lures. Fuel is paid by the customer at the end of trip directly to the marina. Fuel can range anywhere from $800-$1500 per trip. After the trip, he can also clean and fillet your catch at no extra charge. What you should bring are your fishing licenses and the snacks and drinks of your choice. Need a place to stay? We stayed on their houseboat, which was incredibly convenient for our early fishing departure. Eric listened to what we wanted to do on our trip and gave us exactly the experience we wanted. He and Jace were knowledgeable and helped us successfully navigate open sea fishing, without being overbearing. They were kind, friendly, and lots of fun. On top of all that, we caught enormous fish! I have already told my friends that if they want to fish the Gulf, they need to do it with Calcutta Gold.
