This fishing excursion for us was both Fun and We all caught fish. Thats the whole reason we were here. Captain Zach did a superior job of being on time, getting us on the fish, putting us at the right depth, catching our limit within the rules, and being both the captain and 1st mate in every way, deserves a standing ovation ! He even cleaned AND filleted the fish. Who does THAT ? I’m trying to tell you who, Captain Zachary Shirley ! And for that plus all the things I don’t have the space to tell you about, We give Zach’s fish CATCHING service 5 out of 5 stars. Very Impressive !

Zach had an injury before our trip. when I got the phone call that he was injured my heart Sank...we had looked forward to this trip for months ahead of time, I was so relived when he told me he had already found someone else to take over for the trip. He seemed genuinely concerned we had a good time and were taken care of. Mike our guide was amazing as well. We had a great day on the water. He was patient, kind, and very personable. Seemed genuinely invested in our overall experience. Can't say enough good things about either of these gentlemen.

We had an awesome time out on the water with Cpt. Zack. Even without boating 3 massive salmon it would have been a great time. Chill vibes - other than reeling in the fish - and Cpt Zack knew the bay well with other potential spots as an option had we not had such great success where we were. Others around us did not seem to be doing as well as us so Cpt Zack's tricks worked great. I would definitely recommend Shirely catch and will plan future trips with him.

We had an amazing time trolling on the river for salmon with Zach during our 10 year anniversary trip on the Oregon coast. He was extremely professional and kept up feeling comfortable the whole trip as we have never been in or near the ocean before. Me and my wife caught our first ever salmon and my wife caught a really nice Chinook salmon. He tagged, cleaned and fileted the one keeper my wife caught. Most of the fish we caught were wild coho so we could not keep them, which was okay by us. (Every fish was a real fight though!) The whole trip he answered our questions and kept the conversation going. If you are thinking about booking a fishing trip in Oregon, you are doing yourself a disservice if you look past Shirley Catch Guide Service. Would 100% recommend him to anyone. 10/10

I recently went on a Chinook fishing charter and it was absolutely fantastic! The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience enjoyable from start to finish. We caught two keepers and a jack, which was thrilling. The boat was well-equipped, and the overall atmosphere was fun and exciting. I would highly recommend this guide and would definitely go again. Five stars all the way!

I chose Shirley Catch Guide service for my Birthday fishing trip and Zach didn't disappoint. Spent a very relaxing and enjoyable morning fishing. Zach was very informative and taught me a lot about salmon fishing in the Nehalem bay and by the way he also got me hooked me up on a nice chinook salmon. Highly recommend.
