6Deep Charter Fishing is USCG-licensed and is located in Gulf Shores and offers to show you a memorable time in these waters.
Capt. Bill aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you're after! Depending on the trip and species, you'll be using techniques like bottom fishing, fly fishing, drift fishing, and popping. You're looking at 2 to 4-hour trips, where you'll usually go after the likes of Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, Speckled Trout, and Black Drum, depending on the weather and time of year.
Your boat for the day will be a 24' Kenner 23V that fits up to 6 anglers at any one time. The boat comes with an ice box and a wireless trolling motor.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. The captain will supply all the needed fishing licenses for your trip.
You can keep anything you catch, as long as it's legal to do so. This is a children-friendly charter, so you're welcome to bring your kids on for a fun fishing adventure.

Captain Bill gave our group the nickname "The Croaker Crew". What really stood out was his personality. He was personable, easy to talk to, and especially great with the kids, making sure everyone felt included and had a good time. He was also very helpful, offering guidance and tips that made the experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic trip, and I would highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a fun and successful day of fishing.

2 Hour Trip – Quick Trip - 2:00 PM on March 15, 2026 • 4 adultsOur family of four had a great time with Captain Bill. His goal was for everyone to carch a fish in th two hours; Mom’s goal was to not vomit from motion sickness. Two hours later, no vomit and three of us had caught one or more fish (A fun memory since it was Dad that missed out!). We’re all novices, but Captain Bill taught us and was patient with our questions. He was right there, keeping an eye out on all lines. It was a bit windy during our trip, but he made it seem like the perfect conditions. Two hours was great and flew by. Next time we’re back in the area, we’ll definitely do four hours. He’s right…fishing is a bit addictive! Thanks, Captain Bill!

4 Hour Trip – Red Snapper - 10:30 AM on June 28, 2026 • 1 adultCaptain Walsh had us on Red Snapper at the first bait drop and kept us on them all day! His knowledge of the fishing grounds is phenomenal. He moved us to 3 spots, and we caught fish at every one of them… However. the last spot we hit is where i hooked the 18 pound monster. Great day, I will be back and highly recommend 6Deep to everyone who wants to catch fish.

Bill was very accommodating, played great tunes, great stories, jokes, and lots of laughs! He took us out to a lighthouse just off of Ft. Morgan to fish for Sheephead and anything else that’ll bite. We ended up catching 20 Sheephead, 2 flounders, and 1 black drum. If that haul doesn’t speak for itself, I dont know what will. We will be using 6Deep Charter Fishing anytime we go out for a charter trip!

He had us out on the water and dropped us right on a bunch of reds, so many that we had to slow ourselves down from exhaustion in reeling them up. After the reds we went and hit an area for Spanish mackerel and reeled in a bunch of those. After we got in he fileted them up in a few minutes and we were on our way. What an awesome day! I can’t wait to fish with Captain Bill again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review for Captain Bill If you’re thinking about booking a fishing trip with Captain Bill, stop thinking and just do it. Seriously. Our kids caught fish, we caught fish, and at one point I’m pretty sure Captain Bill could have convinced the ocean itself to jump in the boat if we asked nicely. From the moment we stepped on the boat, Captain Bill was amazing with the kids—patient, encouraging, and somehow able to untangle fishing lines at lightning speed (which is apparently a required skill when kids are involved). He made sure everyone had a turn, knew what they were doing, and most importantly… actually caught fish. The excitement every time a rod bent was unreal. The kids felt like professional anglers by the end of the trip, and we may now have a couple of future marine biologists on our hands. The boat was great, the fishing was great, and Captain Bill kept things fun the entire time with jokes, tips, and just the right amount of “reel it in!” enthusiasm. 10/10 would absolutely go again. If you want a trip where the kids catch fish, parents relax, and everyone leaves with big smiles (and maybe some fish tales that get slightly bigger every time you tell them), Captain Bill is your guy. Although we mixed up directions (our fault entirely) Captain Bill was a blast to hang around and sure knew how to fish the Gulf of America! My teenage sons wished we had more time to spend on the water but ended up with a decent box of fish for our efforts. We would surely book again the next time we are in the area!
