Big Buford Sportfishing 

Captain Ricky called me the day before our trip to see what type of fishing we were wanting to do. My teenage crew wanted to bottom fish so he made sure we had all the correct baits and set ups. we arrived early and he was ready to go! We instantly were catching fish and having a great time. We booked a 3/4 day and ran into terrible rain half way through. it was so bad we had to call it a day the boat handled the waves easily to make the rough trip back easy. The kids were down about losing out on half the trip but captain Ricky being a stand up guy said after his charter the following morning he will call us and if we wanted to he would take us out to make up the time. That tells you he cares about his clients working extra when not expected. None of us could belive it and the kids were thrilled the following day he called as planed and we were back at it. After doing some more bottom fishing we started trolling and hooked a bunch of dolphin. If all that wasnt enough each night he checked in to give me some spots to take the kids to fish off banks. besides all that he sent us to an amazing restraunt that cooked our catch with the fastest service i have ever seen. We went back the second day as well because we new the food would be served fast and tastefull. We will only use Captain Ricky for our future charters to the area. Thank you for a GREAT trip!

We went fishing with three adults and two young anglers, 6 and 8. Captain Ricky was punctual and well-prepared, and we quickly identified a great game plan to target eater snappers primarily to get have good catching activity… and catch we did. We got probably 75+ fish and kept the best sized fish, 19 in total. The technique was manageable for non-anglers and really entertaining and fun. We counted at least 8 species and later, after Captain Ricky filleted all the fish for us, had plenty for tacos and ceviche for lunch and some for the freezer. This is the most catching we have ever done on a charter and we’ve been on a bunch. We will definitely reach out to Captain Ricky again next time we are in town.

Took some young kids out and they had us on fish immediately. We had a blast. Crew was awesome, boat was perfect. Couldn’t ask for a better trip.

One of my best fishing Days

We had a great time. We went out in the rain. I took my 10 year old son and he loved it. Ricky was teaching him things the whole trip We were on fish the entire time but had to keep moving to try and stay out of the sharks which was impossible but he did the best anyone could do. We caught a lot of fish and would have had a lot more if not for the sharks. Sharks would attack the fish every-time as you reeled them up. We got bit off at least 20 times and the times we didn’t the sharks were right behind. It was kind of fun to see 2-6 massive bull sharks at full speed trying to steel your fish. Make sure to follow Ricky’s directions and real as fast as you can!

My son and I had an excellent experience fishing with Captain Ricky on 3/24/23. His boat was new and came equipped with high end fish-finding equipment and tackle. Captain Ricky knows how to find the hot spots, and we had fish on our lines the entire morning. Upon returning to the dock, Captain Ricky cleaned, cut and bagged the catch for us to take home. He also provided plenty of cold drinks for us while on his boat. We highly recommend, and will hire him again for our next trip to Florida.

Had a great time with Ricky. Went out on a morning trip looking to put fish in the boat for dinner and he did not disappoint. Pulled up the first spot and started catching. We brought home plenty for two meals and were kept busy the whole time. Never a down time not getting bites. Enjoyed the time on the water!

We had a crew of first timers, including little ones. Our captain was patient, informative and incredibly helpful. Everyone was able to reel one in and we came out with some pretty good catches!

Fantastic trip, caught fish all day. Ricky was super knowledgeable and amazing with our kids. Gave us a great restaurant recommendation to cook our catch and he was spot on! Would HIGHLY recommend him.
