Southern Tides Fishing Charters runs angling trips out of Cedar Point and offers to show you what the local fishery is all about.
Capt. Jacob aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you're after! On your trips, you will be catching fish using light tackle. You're looking at 4 to 8-hour trips, where you'll usually go after the likes of Redfish, Flounder, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, and Sheepshead depending on the weather and time of year.
Your adventure begins on board a 24' Carolina Skiff boat that can fit a maximum of 6 anglers.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. As for fishing licenses, everything will be taken care of by the captain so you don't have to worry about it.
You'll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip.
Here to help you with anything you need, the first mate will be on hand during the trip. Leaving a tip for a job well done is much appreciated.
The boat will be supplied with water for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own refreshments.
Children are welcome aboard so you're good to get the young ones started early.

He was punctual, highly responsible, and very kind throughout the trip. The boat was spotless and well-maintained, and all the fishing rods and gear provided were in excellent condition. He took us straight to great fishing spots, and we really appreciated how patiently and thoroughly he coached us on technique—his instruction made catching fish so much fun for everyone. We had a wonderful time out on the water and are already planning to book another trip with him soon. Highly recommended!

And when we got back to the dock he cleaned our catch for us. He was great at keeping our lines baited and would cast them to prime spots for the kids. Just a note, there is no shade on the boat, so especially if you take the afternoon trip, make sure to be ready for lots of sun

The guys were polite, friendly and extremely helpful allowing each person to do as much or as little as we wished for fishing. They took us to different areas in search of a variety of fish. We highly recommend booking a trip with Jacob if you are in the area!!

Jacob provided everything we needed and did an amazing job of taking us to various spots, sharing what he knows about the fish in the area, keeping our hooks baited and then cleaning the keepers. We caught a good variety of fish, some large and some small. Cooked about half of it the night we caught it and it fed 6 of us! Delicious! Very pleased with the catch and the experience. Highly recommend!

Captain Jacob was very nice and we had a great time! He had so much patience rebaiting our hooks and answering my kiddos questions! We caught several different fish, saw a deer and even got to watch a thunderstorm roll in on the mainland. He was very knowledgeable about the area and fishing! He cleaned the fish for us, too! We had a great trip!
