Your excursion begins aboard a 28' California that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, 2 fighting chairs, and all the essentials, plus a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. Two fishing licenses are included in the price for the 8-hour trip only. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

they worked hard to make it fun and memorable

    8 Hour Trip on August 14, 2026 • 2 adults

My wife and i booked with Juan based on price and reviews. We were very glad we did. It was last minute the night before but i had a welcome message and instructions within minutes from him. I didn't care so much about trophy fishing, but i did want the experience of getting a marlin. i told him a marlin sounded fun, but mostly just wanted to bring home meat and story. The crew worked hard to put us on fish and we had a couple get away within the first 90 minutes, that was my fault lol. (wahoo and rooster?) by 830, I had landed my first Marlin. about 70 lbs, and 6 feet. very cool experience. every time the crew saw fish, we'd pull up an cast at the Action. Almost every time they'd hook up, but we lost them. another larger Marlin was about to be my wife's catch but it also got off. we trolled tuna for about the last 3 hours but they weren't having any that day, it seemed from any of the 10-15 boats in the area so defibrillator can't fault the captain for that. overall very great experience, the crew is quite but friendly, so Juan works hard to makes conversation and make it enjoyable. i saw a review complaining about the food.... the burritos were homemade and delicious. what do you want, store bought packaged food? lol. Homemade is much better. 10/10 thanks for the experience and I'll be back with my son and daughter next time! Then we

Best fishing I have ever had

    8 Hour Trip on October 24, 2026 • 2 adults

Juan and his crew were amazing. We were out there for four hours and caught a marlin and a sailfish, great conversations and great company would highly recommend this crew to anyone. We also saw whales, and the leftover bait fish went to the local seal, Pancho. It’s a 3 in 1 trip. Great fishing, beautiful scenes, and incredible wildlife sights. I wouldnt hesitate to book with them at all and am absolutely coming back

Super honest review from experienced anglers!

    8 Hour Trip on July 30, 2026 • 2 adults

Met Capt JC (Juan Carlos) 6:25AM at the marina for a full day trip with my son (14yrs old). He walked us over to the fishing license desk, and covered our 2 licenses as advertised. We then boarded his boat the Carolina which was exactly as described on the website. The boat is a bit aged, but super clean and a very comfortable ride. Onboard was 2 mates who joined us, and they were both super friendly, helpful, skilled, and accommodating. We left the marina, and within 20 minutes, we had multiple lines out trolling nice live bait at one of the closer reefs. We successfully caught a few skipjack tunas, and lost a beautiful very large mahi, (they call them dorados here in Cabo). Because of the mahi hookup, Capt JC and crew switched up the entire spread, to mahi lures, and put out the outriggers as well. Within 2 minutes we had a full spread of about 6 rods out. We trolled around, got hit by a sailfish for about 10 seconds, and then it spit the hook 😢. Capt made the call to go to one of his Marlin spots, and once again changed up the entire spread to larger trolling lures to target the marlin. My son hooked up onto an approx 300 lb Marlin and fought it for about 45 mins. We had the marlin pretty close to the boat, and unfortunately we lost it in the end. It happens. If you're looking for a great Capt who cares enough to switch up his technique, and try multiple spots the entire trip in order to put you on fish, then this is the guy! We had an amazing day out there with the entire crew, and I'd recommend them to anyone who loves to fish. Although we did not land the monster mahi, or the incredibly massive Marlin, we had an amazing day! Thank you gentlemen for an awesome experience with my son.

We will be back and we will be booking many more charters with JC and his crew. We had such a great time, that we booked back to back full day trips. Thank you guys so much! If youre going on a boys trip, look no further. This is the crew if you want to catch big game and have a blast.

    amazing fishing trip

    5 Hour Trip on November 19, 2025 • 4 adults

I booked this fishing trip to catch a bucket list fish-rooster fish. not only did i check roosters off the list, i ended the trip with 2 other fish from my list; an african pompano and a 9 foot 180lb blue marlin. The crew worked extremely hard to put us on fish. I booked a 5 hour trip and i called it after 3.5 hours and headed back to the marina because my arms were hurting from catching fish. on the way in, we stopped and got to see a few whales. overall 11/10 would recommend. this charter company will be my choice every time i am in Cabo.

Cabo Charter Review: Exceeded Expectations & Landed the Targets! (Perfect for First Timers)

    5 Hour Trip on November 26, 2025 • 1 adult

As a first-time fishing traveler to Cabo, the research process felt overwhelming. After months of reading reviews and balancing budget against reputation, I finally booked a charter. My initial booking was for a panga (the standard budget option), but what I received was a significant upgrade: a larger sport fishing boat equipped with outriggers, spreaders, and a 7-rod setup! This alone set a fantastic tone for the day. The Logistics: Smooth Sailing from Dawn • Meeting Time/Location: Finding the captain at 6:00 AM in the busy, pre-dawn marina was surprisingly easy. Communication and directions were spot-on. • Preparation: The crew was highly efficient. I was immediately set up with my fishing license, fresh gear, plenty of live bait, and ice. We departed right on schedule. The Fishing Action: Non-Stop Success Our captain and crew knew exactly where to go. The results speak for themselves: 1. First Stop: We hit the first site and immediately caught my target Roosterfish! This was a bucket-list catch and happened right away. 2. Second Stop: We swiftly moved to the next area and boated a hard-fighting Wahoo—another fantastic game fish. 3. The Rest of the Trip: The remaining hours of the 5-hour charter were spent trolling and drifting for Marlin, demonstrating a willingness to pursue the big offshore species even after landing the primary targets. Crew & Boat Impression The crew was professional, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the trip. They clearly understand the local waters and how to put anglers on fish quickly. Getting an unexpected upgrade to a bigger boat made the experience even more comfortable for the run and the fight. Bottom Line: If you are a first-timer feeling anxious about choosing a reliable charter in Cabo, or an experienced angler looking for a professional operation that delivers results, I highly recommend this team. They provided an incredible value for the money and made my dream catches a reality.

Tough day but Captain got us on fish

    8 Hour Trip on December 31, 2025 • 2 adults

Was a tough day on the water today. Many boats reported no catch. Our captain was able to get us on Derado and Roosters . We wanted to stay shallow because we already had a fished for Marlin. Was a good time and the Captain and crew worked hard to get us on fish. Will deff book again when we’re back in Cabo !!

Two species off the Bucket list

    8 Hour Trip on November 11, 2025 • 4 adults

We came to Los Cabos for our sons wedding and decided to check Marlin fishing off our bucket list. We caught a 220lb Blue striped Marlin within 3.5 hrs and then landed a beautiful 36lb Dorado after that. We couldn't have had a better trip with the Father and Son team of Julio and Julian on M/V Ivonne.

Fishing in Cabo
8 Hour Trip on December 26, 2025 • 2 adults

Juan and his crew took care of us again this year during our annual trip to Cabo. As usual, communication before the trip was excellent and meeting up at the marina on fish day was problem free. Juan handled all details as promised (bait, food, etc.) so we only had to worry about showing up. We targeted roosterfish, dorado, and striped marlin ... we caught roosterfish, dorado, and striped marlin! These folks put us on the fish which is why I always call Juan when in Cabo. Just as important, we always have fun with the crews because they are super friendly and have that unique Mexican sense of humor. Thanks again Juan!
