Book Me A Boat – 39' Flybridge 

We booked the 6 hours trip at 0500 hours. We were given a safety breif prior to beginning. We were told to bring our lunch. We brought a cooler with ice and packed drinks bread and lunch meat and chips amd fruit. we were allowed to go on top of the boat and the view of Downtown Chicago was breathtaking as the city was all lite up. We saw the sun rise in the horizon. The ride out was about an hour and the view and Michigan Lake was peaceful. We took a lot of pictures. Once we made it out CPT Frey and his crew, set the rods and reels up for us. They prepped everything. There was a short brief of the setup and we started waiting for the fish. It was not time before the fish started to bit. We reeled and reeled it was like we had a shark (😃) on the other end. Just kidding. We caught Trout. The reeling is exciting and challenging. The crew were cheering us on!!! Prior to if you are out of state, get an online fishing license. We got a 24 hour license. $12 plus 6.50 for salmon is required. Totaled 21.00 with tax. In addition make sure you bring a cooler with ice for all the fish you will bring home. We caught 12 trout total weighing over 100 pounds!!! You dont need to know how to fish to charter a fishing trip. in addition, the captain fileted all the fish and bagged it for us. We went home and brought quart freezer bags and bagged the fish we didn’t eat and froze some and gave some to our neighbor. Its well worth the money and it is safer to hire professionals. Your going to catch ffish. The fish bite better early in the morning. We suggest 0500 and then you have the rest of the day to rest and do other things you plan for the day. I highly recommend this fishing trip. Plus the fish is super fresh. Nothing like being on the lake even when your not catching fish. But we caught fish back to back.

Despite Chicago’s first real heat spell of the summer, 95° with a heat index of 103°, Captain Tim and First Mate Mitch never stopped working to ensure we had a great day! We booked a midday charter beginning at 10:00 a.m. We caught four beautiful rainbow trout and steelhead in the 10 to 12 pound range and had three more on that got away. Those were completely on us! Our 10 year old was determined to reel two in all by herself. The third time she accepted our help. Another came off right at the boat when my husband lifted the rod a little too high. That’s fishing, and honestly it made the stories even better. Captain Tim and Mitch were patient, knowledgeable, and so encouraging with our family. They took the time to teach us and answer questions; and you could tell they genuinely wanted our 13 and 10 year olds to catch fish just as much as we did. They truly cared about making it a memorable experience. If you’re looking for a fun, family friendly charter with a crew that works hard and cares about their guests, we highly recommend Captain Tim and Mitch. Thank you both again!

We had an amazing day on the water! The captain was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He made sure we were comfortable, gave great advice, and worked hard to put us on the fish. We caught plenty and had a fantastic time from start to finish. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and everything was well organized. Had a great time and caught a lot of fish. We were concerned about taking the afternoon trip with the sun blazing down but Tim and 1st mate Mitch were able to get us on fish quickly. We had a great day with a ton of laughs and a ton of fish to bring home. The booking was extremely smooth and easy. We will definitely e back and are already talking about booking a fall trip. Booked this sunset trip to celebrate our son’s high school graduation, and it was a great experience! Capt. Tim and his crew were professional, funny, and clearly knew what they were doing. The water was pretty choppy, but Capt. Tim navigated the vessel with ease. The fish weren’t biting much, but we still managed to catch six lake trout weighing between 15-18 lbs. I’ll definitely be booking again!

What an amazing day out on Lake Michigan! Captain Tim was absolutely fantastic, and his first mate Mitch was incredible as well. They were both knowledgeable, professional, attentive, and made the entire experience so much fun. Most importantly, every single one of us caught fish!🎣

The captain and his mate were great, fun and professional. great sense of humor too. He promised fish and everyone landed a nice sized fish. We would definitely use the same crew if wencome back. All tackle and licenses provided. we only did a 4 hour trip but everyone left happy.
