went out with me and my wife, gavin is a fantastic captain. aboslute gentlemen, got us on the fish was really helpful with guiding us on what to do with all the different species . verry accomodating to our requests. all round fantastic day 10/10

Water temps dropped and fishing conditions were tough but captain Gavin did everything he could to get us onto some quality fish. In the end we managed a nice jack and a gold spot cod. Learned a lot about fishing in FNQ and at the end of the day the captain kindly gave us the left over livies and gave us some pointers on where and when to fish them landbased.
You’re learning off and fishing with one of FNQ’s gurus if you head out with Gav. Bloke was the best! My Mrs had never held a rod let along cast a lure into the mangroves. right in the bite window he called she landed a huge jack, probably 5mtrs from where we saw a croc slide into the water! we also cleaned up out on the reef popping for G’s and deep dropping on a few of his wonky hole marks for big Nnanygai my second time doing this charter and ill be back for years to come!!! cheers Gav great to meet ya!
We had a tremendous and successful trip under Gavin's tutelage today. He has a great understanding of the waters we fished and made us feel safe, and taught us the right technique to land the 30+ fish we did in 4.5 hrs. I would highly recommend him and we will certainly be giving him another call when we come back.

Thanks to Gavin for a great afternoon. Around 30 fish caught including coral trout and 2 small sharks. Kept putting us on the fish. Great knowledge and a genuinely nice skipper to get along with. Thanks from The Tudor family. Hope to be back from the UK one day ok
Gav took myself and my son out in December for a half day inshore session and his expertise put us onto a few nice fish to take home. Great boat set up well with plenty of rigged up excellent quality rods and reels. Recommend to anyone. Cheers Gavin, Paull.
Kids and I had a great day out on the water with Gavin, lots of fish, fun and great memories.

This was a gift for my 11year old son. Though they didn't catch much. They still caught a few each and Gavin was really patient showing how to get live bait, showing them how to put bait on the hook, cast, strike and reel them in. They loved it.
Gavin was great. Extremely knowledgeable and patient. Nice guy to be around even if the big ones weren’t biting that day.
We had an awesome fishing trip with Captain Gavin out at the inshore reef off Port Douglas. The conditions were perfect, and Gavin made the whole experience fun, easy, and productive. We caught a great range of reef fish throughout the morning, with plenty of action to keep everyone excited. The highlight was bringing home two beautiful coral trout, which made for an absolutely delicious lunch! Gavin’s local knowledge and professionalism really made the day. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just out for some fun on the water, I’d highly recommend a trip with Captain Gavin — a top-notch fishing charter experience in Port Douglas!
We had a great time with Gavin! Unfortunately, the fish were few, but nonetheless we had a wonderful morning. We had great fun catching a few smaller fish, until a large croc decided to scare them all off by coming for a close up look! While we wanted fish, that was a pretty spectacular moment we very much enjoyed. Gavin is a great guide and host, with a very comfortable boat! The privacy of Gavs charters was also great, allowing us to have a great yap about everything and anything! We will be giving Gavin a call when we come back!
If you are looking for an incredible day out on the water, book with Gavin! He is a fantastic guide—patient, helpful and so full of local knowledge. He knew exactly where to find the fish and took the time to help us hone our skills. It was a smooth, fun, and memorable day from start to finish. Thank you, Gavin!

Great trip. Fishing was a bit tough due to water temp and winds outside, but Gavin’s a great bloke with tons of knowledge about the systems in the area and goes the extra mile to get you onto fish. Great kit and boat. Caught Fingermark, Cod and even a small Jewfish up in the estuary on livies. Would thoroughly recommend. Looking forward to getting back later in the year to have another crack at it.
Captain Gavin was very knowledgeable and friendly he made sure we were always on fish and always tried to find different species. Would would definitely book another trip with him if we get the opportunity
