Rend Lake – Lakeside Guide Services
Come enjoy a guided fishing trip on Rend Lake with Lakeside Guide Services in Ina, IL. As a local guide, I know the lake and the areas where we may find fish depending on the season and current conditions.
Depending on conditions, you may have the opportunity to catch crappie, largemouth bass, and other fish that are biting. We'll travel to the fishing spots by boat, and I'll provide the rods and reels. Bottled water is also provided for your trip. At the end of the trip, I'll clean and bag your fish fillets and place them in a small styrofoam cooler with ice packs so they're ready to take home.
You will need to obtain an Illinois fishing license before your trip. Meals are not included in the trip price, so please bring our own snacks and lunch.
If you're traveling to Rend Lake for your fishing trip, we also offer a two-bedroom nightly rental home located right next door to my home. The rental has everything you need for your stay except food. We can offer the rental as part of a package deal with your fishing trip, depending on availability. Please contact me directly for availability and package information.

What really stood out was how efficient everything was. no fancy tech, just pure experience and knowledge of the water. Jeff knows exactly where to go and how to stay on fish. You can tell he’s been doing this a long time, and it shows in the results. If you want a guide who gets you on fish and keeps it simple and effective, this is your guy. Pulling up to the first spot I looked at his depth finder and was expecting him to have the fish finder on like every guide I’ve seen. There was no fish finder on and within 10 minutes we were slaying the crappies! End of the day we ended with lots to eat and some really nice slabs! I think there needs to be more than 5 stars for a rating for this man and his small business. We are going to make the 5 hour drive to spend a week with this guy out on the water! Great conversationalist and with all the bang for your buck!

His experience on the lake is evident, as he got us unto the fish even in the middle of the summer heat. We had a great day and went home with plenty of fish. His Airbnb right next door is also very comfortable and very handy if you want to get an early start and get on the water quickly. I would definitely recommend Jeff to anyone who wants to fill the boat with nice slab crappie!

He was even sensitive to those who needed an alternative fishing technique. Plenty of water, Gatorade and lively conversations made for a great fishing experience on Rend Lake. Thanks Captain Jeff!

We loved being out on the lake and checking out the scenery while fishing. Jeff even gave us some extra fish that he had on hand since we didn't catch that many fish. Jeff was patient and explained the best ways to catch the fish, we just need more practice!! We would definitely book with him again.
