Your adventure takes place aboard a comfortable 18' Sun Tracker pontoon with room for up to four adults (or six guests when three or more are children). The boat is equipped with all required safety gear, a private portable restroom with a full privacy enclosure, and everything needed for a productive day on the water.
Rods, reels, bait, tackle, bottled water, and fish cleaning (upon request) are included. Child-sized life jackets are available.
Guests ages 16–64 will need a DC fishing license before the trip. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, weather-appropriate clothing, snacks, and any medications.

We caught many fish, blue, catfish, and the boat captain would not give up until we caught several really villains. He’s an awesome fisherman, an incredible boat, captain, and very, very easy to work with. His rates are very reasonable, he was not only on time, but he was early and he did many things for us that we’re not expected. I highly recommend capital blues for anyone who wants to have a memorable fishing experience.

My biggest catch was 17 lbs, and my husband landed a huge 40-lb catfish! He is STILL talking about it and says this was the best birthday. 😂 One of the highlights was when we both hooked catfish at the same time—mine was 17 lbs and his was 18 lbs! Such a cool moment to share together. Captain Owen gave us a fantastic day on the water, and we left with some great memories (and some serious fish stories!). We would absolutely recommend him and would love to go out again!

He went above and beyond by moving us to several different spots to make sure we had the best chance of catching fish, and his hard work definitely paid off! He kept us entertained with great stories and a good sense of humor, making the trip enjoyable even between bites. To top it off, he cleaned and filleted our catch for us, which was greatly appreciated! I highly recommend Captain Owen. We’d absolutely book with him again!

It was a wonderful experience and my children each got to reel in many fish on their own. We have so many memorable pictures and my kids are already asking to go fishing again. He is very communicative and flexible and knows a ton about not just fishing but also Potomac River and DC history. Highly recommend this company and will return for another trip. 5 Stars!

He was extremely friendly and did great with our two young boys (ages 6 & 8.) Definitely a family-friendly charter! Owen was very knowledgeable of the area for fishing and was well prepared. We caught so maby catfish, we lost count! Our oldest son caught an almost 14lber! Owen also offered to clean our fish for us as well. We had an amazing time and will definitely be booking another trip in the future. Highly recommend!!

He provided the best experience for my family on his four hour trip along the Potomac river. Owen had 6 lines out at any given time. We caught 14 catfish with a monster 32 pound catfish to finish out our 4th of July weekend. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. He provided water, gatorade, and all the equipment. We had an absolutely fantastic day on the water with Capt. Owen! From the moment we left the dock, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to making sure everyone had a great experience. He knew exactly where to find the fish, shared helpful tips throughout the trip, and made the day enjoyable for both experienced anglers and first-timers alike. His professionalism, patience, and passion for fishing really stood out. We caught plenty of fish, made some great memories, and couldn’t have asked for a better charter. If you’re looking for an outstanding fishing trip, we highly recommend Captain Owen. We’ll definitely be back!
We booked a half day with Captain Owen for my son's 7th birthday, and we had a blast! Before the trip, Owen was great about communicating and coordinating logistics, and promptly and helpfully answered any questions had. On the trip he was skilled, knowledgeable, and happy to share is expertise, and he was great with my son, patiently answering questions, helping him reel and hold the fish, and responding to our son's various suggestions haha. Owen picks the fishing spots, does all the baiting and casting, and then lets everyone else do the reeling when theres a bite. We hauled in 10 catfish in total and took home about 14 fillets, so many that we were able to give some to the in-laws and neighbors. It was an all around great trip and great memories for my son's birthday.
