Wild Thing Fishing Charters
Book your next trip with Wild Thing Fishing Charters and find out what you're missing on the Gold Coast.
You will be greeted by Col at the pier. Your skipper and decky are a lively pair who live and breath fishing and can't wait to help you to catch your fish.
You will catch a variety of species including Cobia, Pink Snapper, Black Jewfish, Tailor, Spanish Mackerel, Yellowfin Tuna, Longtail Tuna, Amberjack, Bigeye Trevally, Flathead, Mahi Mahi, Sweetlip Emperor and many more which can be found in these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Your fishing machine for the day is a 31' Kevlarcat with room for 10 passengers. It has outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A tip for the crew is always welcome but not necessary to show your appreciation for their hard work as they love just getting you out there for a great day on the water.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the crew.
Drinks and light snacks will be available for you. There will be bottled water, soft drinks, sunscreen (non-spray)and sanitizer on board. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Wild Thing Fishing Charters!

We got some serious tangling but the boy were quick to sort them out, without any fuss. I’ve been on many chatters over the years and I can honestly say this was one of the best. We caught fish, we had fun, the Crewe interacted with everybody on the boat and made it a great day. Next time I go fishing 100% I will book the wild boys!!! Thanks again Merry Christmas

Great day out bottom bashing, all caught fish on squid / mullet / pillchards including some real nice pearl perch in about 70m depth. From the moment we arrived, everything was organized, professional, and friendly. The captain was not only knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about fishing, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We went deep sea fishing and had a successful trip and the crew helped us with everything from baiting the hooks to reeling in the big ones. They were patient, helpful, and great company throughout the day. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, and safety was clearly a priority. We learned a lot, had tons of fun, and made some unforgettable memories. Thia was my wife’s first Deep sea fishing Experience and ahe loved it. She caught the biggest fish of the day. She throughly enjoyed the trip! Thanks to the team for a fantastic Experience! I think she’s hooked 😁🎣, excuse the pun!

As a family, we had a great day and the crew were knowledgeable and professional. We all caught fish, saw heaps of whales and overall had a really great day. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at doing a charter.
