If you're ready to go fishing in Airlie Beach, we've got you covered with Airlie Beach Fishing Adventures. With Captain Jim at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Red Emperor Snapper, Coral Trout, Mackerel, Black Jewfish, Nannygai, Cobia, Sweetlip Emperor, Fingermark Bream, and more are in the cards if you cast your line at the right time of year. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish.
Kids are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea for a boost of energy when needed!
Capt. Jim operates a 30' Cougar Cat catamaran with capacity for 7 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.

Perfect size boat that fit all of us with room to move. He took us to some really cool spots where the fish were biting for that time of day, and when they weren’t we moved to another spot. Snacks and refreshments were provided. A range of baits were used and our equipment was top-notch.  Good ol 90’s rock played while we cast away searching for that perfect catch. When we got back our catch was filleted for us ready to take home to have a feed. Some people caught 6, some people caught 4…. I was absolutely stoked I got one, (Im an excited beginner) plus I felt the wrath of the ever elusive local cod!!! 10/10 would do it again! Fun times 😁

Half Day Trip – Private on January 23, 2025 • 4 adults • 1 childWhat can I say that best describes our fishing trip with the guys from ‘Airlie Beach Fishing Adventures’…sensational!! My wife, 16yr old daughter, 7yr old autistic son and I book the boat so it was just for us and the guys were amazing with our son, they put us straight onto hook up after hook up. My kids caught their first fish that put a bend on the rod. The boat is fast, comfortable and well maintained, has a full roof to help keep the sun off you, but For me those guys were the highlight of the trip. Amazing fishermen and true gentleman.
