Spend the day with Yellowtail Charters and let Captains Shalako and Koren show you what makes the fishing in Nassau so memorable!

Species like Black Grouper, Bonito, Lionfish, Bigeye Tuna, Great Barracuda, Sailfish, African Pompano Jack, Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Yellowtail Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and more can be found in these waters, depending on the time of year. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.

Your excursion begins aboard a 34' Tiara sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 8 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

Don't leave home without sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Yellowtail Charters!

    Great trip

Half Day Trip (PM) on July 12, 2026 • 4 adults

I took my wife and two boys (15yo and 12yo) everyone had a great time we caught several Barracuda, snapper, mackerel and Jack. The Captain Arthur Moxey and Mate Thor and Robbie were amazing all we had to do was reel in the fish. Once we arrived back at the doc Mate Thor and Robbie escorted us to Margaritaville and explained to them how we wanted our catch to be cooked. Thank you to Yellowtail for a great time.

    Great family fishing charter!

    Half Day Trip (AM) on December 31, 2025 • 5 adults • 1 child

Captain and 1st mate made us all feel welcome on board. We’d do this again. We booked this for our port day and it was a very easy walk off cruise ship to dock. We had spotty wifi service while on our cruise but the crew gave perfect directions (in advance to boarding our cruise ship) to the pick up spot, so when we arrived in port we knew exactly where to go — no stress. Crew was great with our 3 kids; helped as needed but also let them be as hands-on as they were comfortable being. We caught fish of various sizes, got lots of photos with our catch and even saw a few celeb homes along the way. Half-day length of charter was perfect.

    Great Fishing Trip

    Half Day Trip (AM) on October 16, 2026 • 3 adults • 2 children

We had a great trip with Yellowtail. The crew did everything they could to keep us on fish and were great with our boys (9 & 11). Would book with them again.

    Stellar experience!

    Half Day Trip (AM) on May 28, 2026 • 3 adults • 1 child

They gave us the option for what we wanted to fish for, took us right out and got us fishing almost right away. We ended up catching some amazing Mahi Mahi. They let us play music through their speakers and we had an awesome time. If we ever find our way to the Bahamas again we'll absolutely be back.

    Great Captain, Boat, and Service

    8 hours of adventure begins on November 28, 2025 • 7 adults • 3 children

Initially, we booked on Friday, but I saw a storm coming. The charter company helped to arrange another boat (Major Moves) on Thursday. The flexibility saved the trip. We have 3 kids on board. The crew was incredibly patient and helpful in teaching them how to fish. In the afternoon, we did some island hopping and snorkeling. Amazing experience! Would go again if I visit Bahamas in the future.

    Hard working crew

    6 hours fishing trip - 9:00 AM on June 20, 2026 • 4 adults • 2 children

I requested that we troll for pelagics, specifically mahi, because my son has been wanting to catch one. The captain and crew did their best to make that happen, but it just wasnt in the cards. The bluewater was just empty, and thats the way it goes sometimes. There was not much for weedlines, no birds, no bait schools, no flying fish. It wasnt for a lack of trying though, the captain and crew did their best to find fish and covered a lot of water. There just we not many pelagic out thete that day. After a while, we did come in shore to the reef and managed some fish trolling around some shallow spots. Overall, the crew was great and did their best to get us on fish. I knew when i asked to fish for Mahi, that it just may not happen, thats fishing and the risk you take sometimes. But the crew worked hard, were very friendly, and did their best to get us on fish.

    Rough seas, great experience

    6 hours fishing trip on November 3, 2026 • 2 adults

Fun time. Hooked 2 Wahoo, landed one. 7 barracuda and some snapper when we tired of the challenging wind & surf. Would book YellowTail again.

    6 hours fishing trip on August 25, 2026 • 3 adults

These guys kept pivoting till they put us on the fish! They also didn’t care how much gas they used in order to do so! We wound up with a significant bounty and great day overall. Thx fellas!
