Josie Mac is equipped with SeaKeeper a Gyro stabilizing system for those that are not familiar with Seakeeper, it will take out 95% of the roll out of the boat, it is extremely comfortable to fish on and it does wonders on motion sickness

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
You'll be welcome aboard a 39' Pursuit sportfishing vessel with capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Cockpit grill for cooking while you fish
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring lunch, drinks, sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Kenny is a friendly and experienced captain, and his large boat is clean and comfortable. He had everything we needed ready to go and took us right to the fish. We had limits of big fish by 9:30.am. The entire experience was great and we will be back for more fishing.

I specifically booked with the Josie Mac because I was taking my son and 10 year old grand daughter on her first ocean trip. The Josie Mac has the sea tracker system that takes out 95% of the rocking of the boat.. my grand daughter did great both days with absolutely no motion sickness. She can’t wait to go again! The captain was awesome and very knowledgeable. If you are planning a trip and are worried of sea sickness I 100% recommend the Josie Mac it is without a doubt the safest and calm charter I have ever experienced. Totally amazing boat! We’re booking again next year.

The tides were terrible but we still ended up catching two big halibut well over 35 inches a 25 inch and about 18 shorty halibut.

Although we were only able to land 1 keeper we must have caught over 50 fish. The day on the water with views of SF, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Bay Bridge was fantastic. We had calm water for the most part but Cpt. Ken’s beautiful and well kept boat had gyro electronics that kept the boat from rocking… never had that before, it was quite amazing. It wasn’t the day for catching limits of halibut (keepers) but I would definitely recommend the Josie Mac for future trips!

Captain Ken, did a great job clearing the 6 rods of the vegetation over 5 hours before the line became tight with our first of two 14 pound chinook salmon. Captain Ken is a dedicated skipper committed to making fishing fun and enjoyable no matter the difficulty of the catch. Jay Evans
