You're likely to go after Amberjack, Cobia, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Cubera Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Black Drum, Black Seabass, Blackfin Tuna, King Mackerel (Kingfish), and more, depending on when you go. You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Charlie will bring you aboard a 22' Hydra Sports center console with room for 3 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

The experience of reeling in a sailfish was absolutely thrilling. We even lost quite a few fish, but that only made us more excited to come back and try again. Captain Chali is truly a responsible, experienced, and patient guide, and we’re already planning our next trip with him! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an offshore adventure!

10 Hour Trip – Offshore on February 22, 2025Had an unbelievable experience fishing with Reel Joy charter. Charlie put is on the spots and it seemed like constant catching. The snappers never stood a chance. Charlie took care of me on the boat he not only provided all the gear but also baited our line and gave excellent advice. By far the best offshore fishing I have done in my life. He even hooked me up with a military discount which I wasn't expecting. I highly recommend and I will 100% be back.
