Catch and Cruise NC welcomes you to the stunning waters of Wilmington. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Gabriel knows them forwards and back.
There's no guarantee when you're fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Amberjack, Bluefish, Skipjack, Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Vermilion Snapper, Scup (Porgy), Bull Shark, and more, depending on the season. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there's bow-fishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks!
Your vessel for the day is a 29' World Cat that can carry up to 6 passengers (4-5 for best comfort). It has outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Don't forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some bottled water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own drinks. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.

This trip was really fun. My wife and I took our three daughters and son on an 8hr off shore trip. Gabe is a really nice guy, very personable and knowledgeable. Caught some cool fish including a baracuda and grouper. Tried our luck drifting for shark but hey, if you actually know how to fish you know it is what it is. Essentially in an 8hr trip we got 22 miles out and were able to troll, bottom fish, and drift for sharks. Three people knew very little about fishing, two of us I’d say are pretty skilled and knowledgeable, and everyone had a great time. Would recommend to anyone. Bring plenty of sunscreen and water if sunny! Will likely charter again when we come visit family out here again. Five stars, would recommend to anyone.
Plans shifted a little, but it all worked out great. Capt was great on communication. Started the day trolling for spanish and blues. After catching quite a few we went to an artificial reef to drop for sea trout and hit our limit. Then finished the day with more trolling and caught more. Perfect weather and great day. Thanks Capt!
Top comments from our kids (ages 4-12): “I give it a 10 out of 10 stars!” “I loved catching that chonker of a Drum fish.” “Dad, that was the most fun I’ve ever had fishing.” Despite not having the best weather for the trip, Gabe and Brett made the trip memorable. The kids loved going fast on the boat, learning about the different fish and the different baits to catch them. Their excited smiles were well worth it. Thanks again!

Great trip, caught lot of fish. Sharks, flounder, grouper, toads. Flounder and grouper out of season but still great to catch. Gabriel was awesome and very knowledgeable. We will be booking again next year during flounder season.
Nate was our ships captain, he was young, but he knew how to navigate the local waters. We caught a good collection of fish, he was accommodating to our individual needs, and a great time for our day on the water. Very realistic about what we would catch and where, and overall we had a great day on the water. Would highly recommend

Captain Chandler worked hard to get us live bait and then put us over big fish! we caught Red Drum, Cobia, Grouper, Flounder, Snapper and Sea Bass.

mainly caught and released flounders and some juvenile sea bass. also snagged a sting ray and bluefish
my experience was perfect..! we cought a barracuda!!!

We had a great time. Brought in about 10 fish and could have done it with out his guidance.
