Captain Nathan Ball is a former high school teacher who fell in love with fishing the Mississippi Gulf Coast. After deciding to make a career change, he dove head first into building Hook N Line to take families out on the water to make memories that will last a lifetime. The same memories he has built with his own family fuels his fire to help others have those same experiences.
The Madelyn Kaye, named after his oldest daughter, is a 2009, 20 foot Mako 204. Outfitted with a 2025 Yamaha F200 outboard motor, she will get you and your family reliably to the fish. The Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor with I-Pilot holds you in spot no matter the conditions and the Lowrance Elite FS-9 will show you exactly what is below the surface. Your drinks are sure to stay nice and cold inside the Kysek 35L Ice Chest. The Madelyn Kaye is a fish hunting machine, and with Captain Nathan at the helm, you are sure to catch fish and make those memories.

3 Hour Trip - 2:00 PM on July 28, 2026 • 4 adultsWe booked this trip because my brother-in-law really wanted to do some saltwater fishing, but he was sick and unable to go. My wife, daughter and I carried on and are so happy we did. Nathan was a great communicator in advance and called us the day ahead and convinced us to go in the morning--turned out to be a good call. Heat index was 115 later in the day, but it was fine out on the water, getting back before noon. The marina was right across the street from our hotel and after Nathan cleaned and filleted our catch, we took it to McElroy's on the pier and had a tasty lunch. We agreed it was the best, freshest fish we had ever had. Extra plus that we caught it ourselves. Nathan proved a great teacher (we were a bunch of novices) and also a good conversationalist. Impressed with him as an honest, good-hearted man pursuing a career that puts his family first. Wishing him the best!

He had a plan and he worked his plan flawlessly. His patience and focus on the task at hand was amazing. I have fished with guides and captains many times and Nathan is truly a gifted captain an guide. We fished from 1 to 5 in the afternoon which many times is a tough slot to fish his experience with the tides and currents kept us on fish the whole time with every angler boating fish. I know this man will always have my business when I am back in the Biloxi area.

Fishing was a little slow, Captain Nathan worked hard to try and get us on fish, we had some success but Captain Nathan did not want to give up, he wanted all in the boat to have a Fish On, he literally went the extra mile to one last spot, even going past our allotted finish time to get some fish. Finally success where we boated some really nice fish and got some good pictures, got a couple to keep for dinner also. We had a great time on the water fishing and talking about fishing. It was a very enjoyable trip and Captain Nathan was great!

The 3 of us had a fantastic fiahing day ! would reccomend him for anyone with experienced and inexperienced angkers.

Captain Nathan is great! Got us on fish from the first cast to the last. More important than that, he’s a great person who cares about his guests and their experience, as well as the conservation of the resources. Can’t say enough good things about our trip.
