We went on a trip with our 4 year old twin boys and it was a great experience! We did the 4 hour charter. We were able to catch bonnet-head sharks, yellow jacks, mutton’s and mangrove snappers. Captain Travis was very accommodating and knowledgeable. He supplied all fishing polls and even baited them for us so we didn’t waste any time and could continue casting without delay. Our boys favorite part was actually holding and throwing the shrimp in the water. Water was also provided for us to keep us hydrated. Towards the end of our charter, our boys were getting a little tired so Travis took us to a shallow sandbar where we were able to cool off and swim before heading back to the dock. It was the perfect end to our fishing experience. We would highly recommend fishing with Travis.

I took my 13 year old Nephew and Brothrr in Law on a back country trip and was very happy with Captain Travis! He was very patient with my Nephew and took his time to provide instruction to him and help him if needed throughout our trip. Upon arriving to our first spot it was game on! My Nephew hooked into a nice Black Drum and then to follow a nice Red Fish! Unfortunately the tax man (sharks) came and collected those fish, however, my Nephew was having the time of his life! we caught several other species of fish and overall had a very memorable trip! I would highly recommend Captain Travis and I would definitely fish with him again!

My wife and I booked two trips with Capt. Travis, one reef fishing trip and one backcountry trip, and both exceeded every expectation. We caught an incredible variety of reef snapper, and on the backcountry trip we both landed our personal best snook. It was a fishing experience we’ll never forget. What really set Capt. Travis apart was his professionalism and ability to adapt. The conditions changed throughout both trips, but he always had a plan and consistently put us on fish. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made sure we were comfortable and having a great time from start to finish. Whether you’re an experienced angler or it’s your first time fishing the Keys, I can’t recommend Capt. Travis enough. My 16 year old son and I had a great time fishing with Travis who was very knowledgeable of the Everglades area where we caught plenty of mangrove, snapper and black drum, Sheepshead and snook as well. Some action was had with tarpon too! Even though we’re experienced anglers back home, Travis gave us a lot of insight on how to fish these areas. Would definitely recommend fishing with Travis. We had an absolutely incredible time fishing with Captain Travis in the backcountry off Islamorada. This trip was beyond anything we expected. I caught my first redfish, which we cooked for Christmas Eve, along with seven mangrove snapper—all amazing fish. We also caught some jackfish, which Captain Travis helped us use to hook a shark, and that experience was unforgettable. Captain Travis truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. He is incredibly down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and more than willing to accommodate. From start to finish, he made us feel safe, confident, and comfortable, and it was clear we were in excellent hands the entire trip. If I book another charter, it will be with captain Travis! We caught tons of snapper, black drum, and my boyfriend caught his first Tarpon. He was very patient and understanding with us and me as a beginner fisherman and explained what to do very well. We had the opportunity to catch lots more fish, but not catching them was due to our poor fishing skill, not captain travis. We also got to see dolphins and manatee.

I recently had the chance to take my two sons (ages 19 and 16), both avid mid-level anglers, out with Capt. Travis Camacho. Before the trip, we asked to target specific species, and Capt. Travis delivered—taking us to precise spots to make it happen. The day was a huge success: we landed over 30 fish, visited multiple locations, and enjoyed every moment. Capt. Travis was courteous, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist when needed. I would absolutely book with them again on my next trip to Islamorada!

We’ve taken many fishing trips in the past and Travis stands out for many reasons. He has the right boat to get you where you need to go as well as quality gear and the fishing knowledge to back it up. Travis is also very personable and cares about the customer experience. I took my 3 boys out for their first Keys fishing trip. Travis was great. He brought us to some great spots where we caught a lot of fish. He was very helpful showing us the best techniques and my boys had a blast. Highly recommend Travis!

Capt Travis was so patient and kind and helped all of us improve our fishing skills:) We caught the most delicious Mangrove Snappers! We enjoyed them at Islamorada fish co right down the street! So yummy! Thanks for a great trip and dinner!
