We are owned and operated by a born and raised local! Having logged many hours on this River, all captains at Calico Rock Trout Dock can get you on the fish!
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, Smallmouth Bass, and whatever else takes the bait.
You can expect to do some spinning, drifting, bottom fishing, crankbait, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Our Captains at Calico Rock Trout Dock also offer fly fishing, and for that please call for pricing.
Trips with Calico Rock Trout Dock are family & kid-friendly, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children under 12 must wear life vests, but they do not need a license until they are 15.
You'll be fishing aboard a 21' specialty Flatbottom Boat built for the White River with capacity for up to 3 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a Restroom by the dock and various locations along the river for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods, reels bait & tackle & even a cooler with sodas and waters.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. License can be purchased online at Arkansas Game and Fish or in person at most Arkansas Walmart locations.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses (polarized if you got them), a hat, sunblock, and bottled water. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Lunch is provided at additional cost & request, shore lunch here is special and homemade, especially if you have any dietary needs.

Full Day Trip on October 17, 2026 • 3 adultsWe go trout fishing quite often but we have never been treated so kindly and like we are the only people who mattered in the moment. it was an amazing day! Definitely ask for Dallas as a guide! This young man know where are the sweet spots are! i bet we caught and released at least 100 fish and he made sure to filet the keep for the day! Robin and Jeff we will be back… Maybe more than once a year now that we have found you guys!!!

Half Day Trip - 10:00 AM on October 18, 2026 • 2 adults • 1 childI surprised my 12 year old son with his first guided trout fishing trip for his birthday! Robin and Jeffery made us feel like family, and we had a blast catching LOTS of trout!! We cant wait to come back and do it again SOON! Next time, we plan to make it a full weekend so we can fish longer. 😉Thank you for a wonderful time making lasting memories!! ❤️
