Make the most of your time in Kolamaafushi and go fishing with Local Tourist. With Captain Mohamed at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Skipjack Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Sailfish, African Pompano Jack, Bohar Snapper, Wahoo, Dogtooth Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, and who knows what else!
You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. We also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Trips with Local Tourist are great for kids, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board.
Your fishing machine for the day is a 26' Center console with capacity for 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.
