David Bruiners specializes in fishing the waters around the Eastern Cape, Southern Cape, and Western Cape and invites you along for a trip to remember.

You won’t have to travel far to fish these inshore waters, including a few honey holes that only the locals can clue you in on.

Your guide specializes in light tackle fishing, and that’s exactly what you’ll do. You may also jig or spin for your catch. David will provide rods and reels, as well as lures and live bait if required. Otherwise, you’re welcome to bring your own tackle.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Bluefish (Tailor), Kob, Musselcracker, Leerfish (Garrick), Yellowtail Amberjack, Flathead Grey Mullet, Javelin Grunter, Hammerhead Shark, Skate, and whatever else takes the bait.

Any fish you’re allowed to keep can go home with you. David can also clean your catch for you, making it hassle-free when you get home. That’s dinner, right there!

Groups of up to 6 are welcome on these excursions. You’ll make your way to the fishing grounds on foot, so dress accordingly and bring only as much as you can carry.

You’ll be in touch with David before the trip to confirm where to meet and how to get there.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the guide, and David will help you follow local regulations. Plan to dress in layers and wear appropriate footwear. If you’re not sure what that means, just ask. It’s never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunscreen, and sunglasses, rain or shine.

David will also have some snacks and drinks for you.

The Cape Town wilderness is calling, so let Nomad Fishing SA take you there!
