There's a fish with your name on it in Cape Town, and Outrageous Fishing will help you catch it! With Captain Byron at the helm, you'll benefit from over 45 years of knowledge and experience in Cape waters, including SADSAA colors for both angling and skippering. Including a number of SA and all Africa records, including an I.G.F.A. World record.

Bigeye Tuna, Albacore Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Swordfish, Black Marlin, can be targeted for the offshore trips. Yellowtail, Kob, Snoek, Bonito, Bronze Seabream, and more can be found in these waters, depending on the season, on the inshore trips.

You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or perhaps something more specialized in this area. Capt. Byron also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly-fishing gear. For the more adventurous, there's spearfishing.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Child-sized life vests are available. You're also welcome to bring snacks.

You'll be fishing aboard a 28' catamaran with room for 8 passengers. It is SAMSA safety-certified and fully insured. There's a Porta Potti toilet on board.

You'll find rods, reels, tackle, and lures waiting for you. Live bait is available at times, and guests may have the opportunity to catch it themselves.

Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits, and we encourage the release of red fish on the reefs due to their slow growth.

Some essentials to bring are sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
