Waypoint: A stopping place on a journey. Come create one in your memory with us!
Book your next trip with Waypoint Sport Fishing Charters and find out what fishing in Oak Orchard and Wilson, NY, on Lake Ontario is all about.
Capt. Collin prides himself on putting safety above everything. “I take pride in making sure safety is number one and fishing comes second.” You can expect a safe and relaxed day on the water, regardless of whether the fishing is on fire or slow.
Depending on the time of year, the species we will be targeting include Brown Trout, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Lake Trout, Atlantic Salmon, and Rainbow Trout (Steelhead).
Your excursion begins aboard a 1994 Tiara 2900 Open. The boat is loaded with Garmin electronics, including sonar, a chart plotter, radar, and Panoptix. It also features Fish Hawk speed and temperature systems, an autopilot, Cannon downriggers, and rod holders. All rods and reels are high-end equipment, including Daiwa and Shimano. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
A first mate will be there to make sure everything runs smoothly. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You’ll need to buy a NYS fishing license before the trip. This information is available online, or you can ask Capt. Collin where to get one.
Don't leave home without bottled water, sunglasses, sunblock, lunch or snacks, and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
