Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Pacific Barracuda, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Black Skipjack Tuna, Pacific Red Snapper, Bullet Tuna, and more could be biting if you come at the right time of year. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.

You can bring home any fish you catch, assuming they're legal to harvest.

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites for a boost of energy when needed!

You'll be casting lines from a 34' Sportfishing that can carry up to 8 passengers. It has outriggers, two fighting chairs, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.

Capt. José has rods and reels for you, along with lures.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It's always wise to bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation.
