If fishing in Playa Flamingo is on your bucket list, look no further than 4Corners Costa Rica. With highly skilled Captain at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Black Marlin, Bluefin Trevally, Yellow Snapper, and who knows what else! You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Backlash also offers fly fishing.
You'll be dropping lines from a 28' Regulator center console that holds up to 5 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, fly fishing gear and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own.
