Carolina Sunrise – CobiaKiller is a charter dedicated to inshore and nearshore fishing on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina. You will have a professionally guided trip by Captain Aaron Beatson, so bring the kids to learn or bring the pros - everyone is welcome! This charter is always ready to go in search of Jacks, Redfish, Kingfish and of course - Cobia!

You will go out aboard a 20 foot 1950 custom Carolina performance fishing boat, originally built in 1958, and restored in 2006. This vintage beauty is now powered by a 140 HP Suzuki engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 40 knots. That makes it very fast on the shallow and inshore waters of the Outer Banks. The boat is equipped with life jackets for safety and all the electronics needed to get you to the best fishing spots.

You will find the flybridge particularly handy for sight fishing or just taking in the breathtaking scenery of this area. The onboard icebox will be used to store your catch until you return to the shore, so please make sure you bring a cooler of your own to transport the fish home safely.

Carolina Sunrise - CobiaKiller will put you on a wide variety of fish - from the inshore species like Trout, Redfish, Jack Crevalle, and Cobia, to the nearshore species that include King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, and Bluefish.

The fishing gear is provided in the form of rods, reels, tackle, lures and live bait. You will have a fishing license as well as a cleaning and filleting service once the trip is over. Captain Aaron will also provide you with drinks so all you have to bring is positive energy. And sunglasses.

If you already have a date in mind, check the captain's calendar to see if it's open, book a trip to your liking and get ready for your next fishing adventure!

    Stoke Master

Half Day Trip (PM) on October 1, 2026 • 5 adults

Aaron created widespread stoke throughout our party of 5. After starting our trip off right with a fisherman's prayer we had an early morning launch on glassy windless waters. Aaron's vessel perfect for sound or deep water and his convo entertaining with fish and surf tales that kept hope alive. Forever the optimist he led the search until we struck gold, trout led the catch followed by a few respectable red drum that when broiled to perfection as the sunset made for a tasty dinner. Thanks Aaron for the day. Hope return soon.

    Hard working Captain

    3/4 Day Trip on October 6, 2026 • 3 adults

our goal was to catch some big drum during our family vacation. Captain Aaron came prepared and we tried multiple locations and setups till we finally hooked up with our target. Everyone caught fish, and we hope to fish with him again for Cobia in the future!

    3/4 Day Trip on September 14, 2026 • 6 adults

Captain Aaron was awesome and super informative. We had the best time. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we got lots of fish! We even managed to hit the last day of flounder season and scored 5. 😊 10/10 would recommend and absolutely will return! Thank you again, Captain!

    Half day with Capt. Aaron

Half Day Trip (AM) on October 1, 2018 • 2 adults

Great Capt. Did all he could to get us on the fish. I requested a big red drum and he didn’t quit until we got one. Lost the first two monsters and he wouldn’t give up until we got one in the boat. Caught a bunch of bluefish and Spanish mackerel as well. Also hooked up with about a 5ft stingray that was an awesome fight. Definitely a good guy and will put you on the fish. Will be using him again.
