Malolo Fisher Sports - Fishing Machine with Captain Bob offers sports fishing trips. Based in Nadi, Fiji, here you can hope to find and get some nice specimens. Whether it's game fish you seek, or a nice day out on the water with your friends, you will easily find here what you need.
But, even when you find fish, they will still put up a fight before you can take them home.

Luckily, both Fishing Machine and Captain Bob have what it takes to claim a nice catch. Captain Bob has been fishing around the local waters his whole life. He knows these waters intimately, and will work to make your outing memorable.

Fishing Machine is a 29' Catamaran that can accommodate up to eight anglers. She is powered by a twin Toyota inboard engine, and gets you to the waters teeming with fish. An hour ride away, fish are numerous and that's when Fishing Machine comes to action. She is rigged with the navigational equipment, has outriggers, downriggers, lifebuoys, floating rafts, a game chair, custom built toilets. It stores eight rods for game fishing, has Pakula, Zacatacks, Halco and Rapala lures, and fine Penn, Shimano, and Tiagra tackle.

You can fish for the likes of Giant Trevally, Mahi Mahi, Snapper, Grouper, and even Sailfish, Black Marlin, and Yellowfin Tuna. You can try bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, popping, or handline.

You will get the fishing gear and the crew will also take care of the fishing license. There will be water onboard, and an esky with ice. If you want, you can have a BBQ at an extra cost, or you can bring along your own food. You should bring a cap, sunnies, sunscreen, and an extra layer of clothes in case the chase gets wet. Generally, you should wear something comfortable so that you can move with ease. Make sure to pack your camera as you will definitely want to have a photo to show around after the trip.

    Captain Bob and crew

    7 Hour Trip on May 16, 2024 • 4 adults

We came to Fiji for our annual fishing trip and what a great 3 days fishing with Captain Bob. Variety of fishing and fish and great crew members, we caught good fish with 22 on the first day and lost count after that. We would recommend this crew to anyone

    Fishing Fiji

    7 Hour Trip on December 2, 2014

We had a really good day. Bob and Mo made us feel welcome and did all they could to make the day safe and enjoyable. We were hoping to catch a trophy/game fish but because it was so calm the fish would not play the game. We had a few strikes but could get a hookup. Bob said he would get us all a fish and he was true to his promise. He changed tactics and put us onto some Red Snapper, which massive fish. He helped all our crew get a hook up and land a couple of fish each or more. I would be more than happy to take another charter with these guys.

    Inadequate Gear - NOT Recommended

    3/4 Day Trip on January 24, 2026 • 6 adults

Of the 6 of us tryi g to fish only 2 had gear that worked, none sufficient for larger catch. Boat wasn’t well maintained and had to be wirked on during trip. Anchor to small and would set for bottom fishing. No jigging gear. tried to book on a day with descent weather, captain recommended waiting another day with better weather - we were in 5ft seas and saw nit one other fishing boat out. Picked up on the beavch, droppedoff at a marina. NOTHING provided, no water, snacks, etc.

Malolo Fisher- not what was advertised

Half Day Trip (PM) on April 10, 2026 • 3 adults

Where to start - due to a near miss cyclone Malolo was able to rebook outing for us, that was the good news. Upon arrival at the port, they had no idea we were booked, tried to charge more than the greed upon price, didn’t have a boat ready, captain Bob did not make the trip. Captain Mike and his decrepit boat arrive 45 minutes late, first 2 hours were a boat ride not fishing. Once we started fishing the equipment was in bad shape. Captain Mike was unwilling to try different spots to increase chances of landing a decent sized fish. We had brought waters, a few adult beverages and some sandwiches with us and were told there would be a cooler with ice to keep them in. Not so, more like a water well with old fish water and debris floating in it Overall if I had a chance to do again I would but not with this outfit.

    Awesome Day

    9 Hour Trip on May 21, 2024 • 4 adults

Skipper and crew were very good and knew their stuff, they worked well all day (9hr trip) and this produced the results. I recommend the full day so it allows you to get out wide where the bigger fish are

    Communication

    3/4 Day Trip on September 25, 2025 • 5 adults • 1 child

Boooking was easy, communication was easy, we had to change our booking date, no problem easily done. We caught a Wahoo and some what the captain called Bream. How ever fishing is fishing and the luck is on the day. Great day with my boys and grandson.
