Family-friendly and pet-friendly. Bring your dog! Arroyo City Outfitters is on a mission to provide you with the best fishing trip of your life! Want to know how they do it? Well, their captain has fished these waters since boyhood and is absolutely in love with fishing. He knows all the fishing spots, fish feeding and spawning patterns, and techniques necessary for a great catch. Best of all – he'll share it with you!

Captain Ryan operates a 24' Dargel flats boat which was restored in 2025 with a capacity for four guests. Powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 55 knots this vessel is fast and reliable. It has an onboard GPS that allows you to locate fish in deeper water, and two sighting towers located at the bow and stern ideal for spotting tailing fish in clear shallow water.

Fishing in Arroyo City literally translates to Redfishing, Trouting, and Floundering. There is no better way to describe fishing in this area full of tailing fish roaming the crystal clear waters of the bay. Throwing baits is the normal practice, but if you have a child in your party or are a beginner, Captain Ryan says you can use live bait, too.

Arroyo City Outfitters provide rods, reels, tackle, bait, and fish cleaning. You will need to obtain a Texas fishing license with a saltwater stamp and you are advised to bring food and drinks for the day, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a cooler for your catch.

So if you're planning a fishing trip in Arroyo City, then check out the options of half day morning or afternoon, and full day trips Arroyo City Outfitters offers. Whichever one you choose, we are sure you'll have a blast!

    Good day on the water

    3 Hour Trip on May 26, 2026 • 2 adults

My wife and I celebrated our 14yr anniversary with Capt. Ryan. We had a great time. Caught our limit of trout and enjoyed the trip. Thanks for an awesome time.

    Super Friendly & Great Guide

    Half Day Trip (AM) on October 14, 2023 • 2 adults • 1 child

Booked a trip for my son with Captain Ryan. The weather was difficult but Captain Ryan found a way to make it a great time and produce some fish. Highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Ryan.

Half day trip with Captain Ryan

    Half Day Trip (AM) on July 16, 2022 • 4 adults • 2 children

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, or a better captain! Ryan took excellent care of us on his boat, and we all left grateful for the experience. Once we got to the fishing spots, we were reeling fish in almost every cast! The kids being able to get up close to some dolphins right next to the boat was an unexpected bonus! Highly recommend Captain Ryan!

Half Day Trip (AM) on July 17, 2022 • 4 adults

Great trip. Airboat is the way to go in the Arroyo. Capt is very knowledgeable of these tributaries and has a wealth of information.

    Great trip

Half Day Trip (AM) on May 12, 2026 • 2 adults

Took my wife on her first trip and the captain made sure to make it a great one. On our first cast we landed a 24” trout and made sure to have everything prepared for my wife and I when we needed it.

Awesome Half Day Trip w/Captain Ryan Falls

Half Day Trip (AM) on September 2, 2023 • 2 adults

This was our 2nd time booking a half day trip with Captain Ryan almost 1 year later, and of course he didn't disappoint! My wife, two sons, and I caught over 30 fish together. 19 of which were keeper trout and 1 flounder. Captain Ryan is super friendly and knows the area very well! He was so helpful with fishing tips and baiting my family's lines! It was an all-around WIN, and I highly recommend Captain Ryan!
