Warrior Poet Sportfishing 

Awesome and beautiful day on the water with Warrior Poet's Captain David and deck hand Bradley. I was fishing solo that day after another boat cancelled my trip. David was very easy to communicate with via text and I was happy to nab the last available spot on his charter that day. I expected I'd get on board with a few other fisherman like me and was quite surprised when the other 5 people on the boat was a family of 5! A very nice mom and her kids who were 14, 12, 6 and 4 years old. I really have to hand it to David and Bradley for how easygoing and accommodating they were with such young kids. They kept everyone on the fish and the family was really cool. I would have been stressed bringing 4 kids out on the ocean, so kudos to the mom too! Aside from that it was really extraordinary to travel on the splendor of the Golden Gate Bridge and to take in the beautiful views of the city and the natural landscapes. Most importantly I caught a legal California Halibut! That is the number one fish I'd been wanting to catch since I'd never caught one before. I highly recommend getting out on The Warrior Poet!

I booked this trip as a surprise for my husband, and we brought his sister and her boyfriend along. My husband has always wanted to try rockfishing, and this trip exceeded all of our expectations. Dave and Neil were fantastic, and made the whole experience so much fun and we couldn't believe how many fish we caught! We're looking forward to trying out lots of new recipes and enjoying plenty of fresh rockfish ceviche. We had an amazing day from start to finish and would absolutely recommend this crew to anyone looking for a great fishing experience. We'd love to book another trip with them in the future!

What an incredible day on the water with Warrior Poet Sportfishing Charter! We booked the full day trip and absolutely crushed it — limiting out on both striper and rockfish! Even caught a legal size rare cabezon The fishing was phenomenal, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the crew. Captain David was top notch from start to finish — knowledgeable, hardworking, and clearly passionate about making sure everyone had an amazing time. Deckhand Neil was outstanding as well, always helping, keeping lines ready, and making the whole trip smooth and fun. And honorary deckhand Susan was absolutely awesome and brought such a great energy to the boat! The entire crew treated us like a couple of old friends out fishing together rather than just customers. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and an absolute blast all day long. You can tell they genuinely care about giving people a memorable experience. Absolutely one of the coolest experiences! we started strong with rock fishing and couple of lincod showed up too. we caught a halibut at the end which made the trip worth it! The two dudes were cool and very funny, showed us all the tips and are very experienced!! definitely going to book again in the future!

We limited out on rock fish and each caught a huge king salmon! i caught my first one and my husband caught his biggest one! The guides were both funny and knowledgeable! we had the best time and would recomment this for anyone wanting to have a great time and catch fish! our best ocean fishing trip!

Annual fishing trip for my husband & this time with the kids, was awesome! they emjoyed all the catch fish & sharks & even feeding the seagulls mid air! captain David awesome as always & Neil as well! Lots of stories to tell! made it super fun! we ended up with 7 striped bass. caught 4 sharks but realeased also, Cap David is such a solidary captian whem others need his help. Will comtinue to book with Warrior Poet! cant wait for crab catching

We had Mr. Neil as our captian. After couple days of heavy rain none of us is expecting too much, but we end up catching 4 striped bass (released one) and a starry flounder (released)! This result is impossible without the captian’s profound experience on fishing, and the trip is so fun and way beyond my expectations. In addition, captian Neil taught us so much from shipping equipment to how to predict fish activities, tides and the bay area environment, also how to cast, lure, and clean the fish. He’s very hospitable and very attentive which makes this trip not only engaging, but also highly educative. We’re definitely looking forward to booking our next trip with them!

We weren't quite sure about catching sharks, but turned out to be a ton of fun for everyone. Captain David and crew were amazing with the kids and made sure everyone had a great time. They clearly know their fishing spots since we caught about 40 sharks!

Captain David was very knowledgeable and patient with everyone. The boat and equipment was clean, orderly, and well taken care of. Captain knew several locations where we all caught something, and he showed us how to handle the sharks and rays so everyone was safe too. We all got pretty sweet pictures with our catches, and as tourists, he recommended some amazing food locations to check out while in the area.

Dad and I had an amazing experience! We caught: leopard sharks, brown sharks, halibut, striped bass, and manta rays. The captain and crew were amazing and very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and hilarious. Felt like we had known them for years, would definitely recommend! We had a full day, and couldn’t have been happier. My only recommendation for others is don’t forget your sunscreen like I did ;).
