Captain J Hook Charters – Cross 

The captain said we should start earlier in the morning to catch what we wanted and he was right! We ended up catching more striped bass out of anyone else on the water in our area. Along with the stripers we managed to catch many blue catfish many large ones as well as smaller ones good for eating. Steady action and a lot of fun. The captain helped us get the trophy we wanted and the meat we wanted as well. He kept us on the fish all day and he was a great guide and instructor. We had a blast fishing all day and we woild definitely book the trip again.

My two buddies and I wanted to grab a fishing charter on our annual lake trip and we were put on the fish IMMEDIATELY by Captain Joe. We caught monsters all day and we even gave the rest of our bait to anotger captain because he wasnt catching anything! We were the only boat to off load fish at the landing. Our trip yesterday with Captain Joe was a blast! I took my son, dad, and father-in-law for a late Father's Day and birthday present for me. We started fishing early around 5:00 a.m. We caught 3 big catfish first thing, and had a few misses. Then we went to a few other spots. There was very little time without catching fish. We filled 120 gallon cooler full within 3 hours. We had gotten our monies worth by 9:30 a.m. Captain Joe knows his stuff and was quick to rebate and take fish off. He kept the rods in the water the whole time. He was also very patient with my 12-year-old son and allowed him to do a lot. He is very personable and a extremely knowledgeable guide. His boat and equipment is all top notch. The boat is very accommodating, clean, and roomy. Communication was awesome and he is an all-around great guy. I already plan to book him again and would highly encourage you booking a trip with Captain Joe Dennis soon!

Absolutely awesome trip with Captain Joe! He was super knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience great for everyone, especially beginners. Even when the fish weren’t constantly biting, he worked hard to keep us on fish and made sure we had a great time the entire trip. I caught the biggest fish I’ve ever caught, and we brought in both stripers and catfish throughout the day. Captain Joe also had a great sense of humor and kept the whole trip fun from start to finish. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and wants everyone to have an amazing experience on the water. Highly recommend this charter, we’ll definitely be booking again next year when we visit!

Captain Jo was incredible from start to finish! We had a blast catching striped bass and catfish and getting a wealth of knowledge all while having a great time! Captain Jo made me and my family feel like professionals by the time the charter ended! We hope to use his services again!

Captain Joe was a great captain. i would guve him 10 stars if i could. Very knowledgeable. Very helpful. We caught three stripers. We caught 12 catfish all of them very large fish he knew where to go to find the fish. we plan to book another trip with Captain Joe in the future 

Captain Joe provided us an excellence experience on the striped bass and catfish charter today! We got out there early and were reeling the stripers up in no time. After hitting the stripers hard we got on the catfish good! During the trip we spoke to other captains who were having a tough go at finding the fish which showed us Captain Joe really knew what he was doing. He was very helpful in guiding us on the proper techniques to use when setting and reeling the fish in. We filled the cooler and got back to the landing by 10am! We will be seeing Captain Joe again in the future! 100% recommend!

Man, I couldn' t have asked for a better way to spend my birthday out on the water with my two boys, making memories and doing what we love most. We booked a trip with Captain J Hook down at Santee and let me tell you he put us right on the Fish from the jump. It was action Rod bit real squealing and smiles all around. We ended up catching a bunch of rockfish and brought seven solid keepers home. The boys were fired up every time one hit nothing better than seeing them light up like that that's a kind of day a dad doesn't forget Captain J Hook was the real deal. He knew the lake kept us on fish, made the whole trip, easy and fun. No stress, just good vibes good laughs,and plenty of fish stories being made in real time. As a female angler, my wife gets a range of interactions from the guides or charters we take on our date weekends away from the kids. And let’s just say, her skill matches the intensity of her peronality. To question if she can cast is taking your life in your own hands. WIthin 5 minutes, Captain Joe had given her a nickname, and proceeded to make this fishing trip (that could have been cold and miserable) one that made her feel like a rockstar. HUGE fish, QUALITY set-ups, KNOWLEDGEABLE guide that made the entire experience worthy of all 5 stars. Already looking for dates to return with my son!

Captain J was excellent, had great knowledge, and put us on fish all day when other captains in the area were having a difficult time. We ended up with 19 fish. We had multiple times two fish were on at the same time, and even had a time three fish were all being reeled in at the same time. Captain J was early and prepared to go at our scheduled time. I'll be back with him in October for Striper season for sure.
