REEL Viking Charters takes you fishing out of Panama City, FL. Captain Tyler will make sure you have an enjoyable day on the water. No matter how experienced you are, you’ll find a worthy opponent around these fisheries. Come chase Spanish Mackerel and Shark, or go after Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, and Mahi.
Captain Tyler has been taking people fishing forever. He is local to the area and loves seeing his customers get their dream catch. Your safety onboard is Captain Tyler's top priority, and he will also work to turn your fishing trip into a lasting memory. You will decide how you want to spend the day on the water but the captain will help out with any questions about techniques and species available.
You will be fishing from a 28’ Cape Horn center console powered by twin 300 HP Yamaha engines. She features navigational electronics and has room for up to six anglers. The boat features a live bait well, has a large ice box, carries Penn gear, as well as one electric reel for the elderly or anglers with disabilities when requested.
Fishing trips with Capt. Tyler will see you fishing inshore and offshore. You can choose to explore inshore fisheries or head into the gulf slow trolling for Mackerel, or bottom fishing for Snapper and Grouper.
You can purchase live bait on board. Catch cleaning may be available, but you best talk to the captain about it. Trips normally leave out of Bayside Marina on Panama City Beach, but pickups at other areas may be arranged. The captain also runs specials throughout the year, so please check back.

We got to catch a lot of fish put them in the boat and then go after some big fish. We caught snapper we caught ladyfish we caught grouper. We caught tuna and even had a giant tuna stolen by a dolphin awesome experience. I would definitely recommend him and will be looking him up on my next trip to Florida. Thank you, Tyler.

From start to finish, they were incredibly friendly, professional, and patient because we are beginners at fishing. We learned so much from them throughout the time, and they really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. We enjoyed it so much that we’re already planning our next trip back! We can’t wait to bring the rest of our family along and book a longer excursion with them next time. Got to see a shark and have her on the line a couple times, caught some nice big fish, and enjoyed good company with good views. Captain John is super nice, knows his fish, and knows how to find them. Highly recommend going to see him with one goal in mind and a lot of time, he’ll definitely see to getting you to your goal. 3 Hour Trip - Shark Night on August 19, 2026 • 2 adultsThis was so much fun. Captain Tyler jumped through hoops to make our shark fishing trip happen. An unexpected storm blew in and lingered longer than we had hoped. He pushed back the departure time untill the weather cleared and that allowed us to continue our trip. We caught several sharks. I believe it was six, along with a snapper and a catfish. I will definitely hit Captain Tyler up again for our next fishing adventure. Well worth it!

5hr fun run on June 12, 2026 • 2 adultsBest trip we've been on, ever!!! Ive spent plenty of time in the woods and on the water, so i realize that nothing is ever guaranteed. Captain Tyler did everything he could do the get us on fish , a slow start, but we ended up getting on them!!! Also did a great job helping my wife who had never caught a fish, think she ended up with 10 or 12, at one point she was reeling them in one after another. Great guy and Captain, would certainly recommend.!!

We went with a large group including kids and these guys got us into a ton of fish. We caught several species including Bonita, mackerel, snapper, mahi and amberjack. All of our crew caught a ton of fish and had a great time. The crew was super friendly, knowledgeable and a blast to be with! Highly recommend!

From the first line being dropped, my kids were reeling in fish. They were both so wonderful with my kiddos. We ended up with 22 fish, but we caught and released several more than that even. I highly recommend these guys and plan to book again for future visits to PCB!

We booked with Reel Vikings Charters and we’re glad we did. We’ve had some bad trips in the past with other charters and captains, but from here on we’re going out with Captain Tyler and Reel Vikings. Captain Tyler knew where the fish were, and they were good sized - we were limited out an hour and a half into the trip. Captain Tyler and his deckhand Greg were cool to hang out with for a few hours, weve got no complaints about anything. If youre looking for a quality trip with quality people this is the charter/captain combo to go with.

We had a good trip with Captain Tyler. The water was pretty rough at the end of our trip and we did have some boat problems, but he handled everything well and kept us safe. You could tell he knew what he was doing, and he did a great job navigating the rough water. We still caught plenty of fish, and he worked hard to make sure we had a good time despite the conditions. I'd definitely fish with him again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a great captain.
