Whether you’re chasing trophy roosterfish, tuna, mahi-mahi, sailfish, marlin, or any of Costa Rica’s incredible game fish, every charter is planned around the day’s conditions to maximize your chances of success. We don’t believe in trolling around aimlessly or sitting in one spot hoping the fish come to us. We actively hunt fish by reading the conditions, covering water, and making adjustments throughout the day. If Plan A isn’t producing, we’ll move to Plan B, C, or D. If the fish move, we’ll move too.

Captain Josh and First Mate Bradley were both excellent, knowledgeable, and worked hard all day. We landed a beautiful sailfish, mahi, and some red snapper and grouper while deep dropping. The whole crew was fantastic. The boat was great, especially the beanbag chair! I’d absolutely fish with them again. This boat will get you on the fish!

We were targeting tuna and hooked into a few. Boat size was great especially to get out of the sun between runs. Would definitely booking again

Josh and his crew were great, professional, and friendly. They were working hard the entire time to get us on fish and the snacks and refreshments on board were a huge plus. If you are considering a fishing charter I highly recommend Deep Republic!

Dolphins chasing the boat doing acrobatics. Hunting sails, seeing them come from a distance. A total thrill! And some snapper on the way back.

Captain Josh had us running all day trying to find fish and while we didn’t get quantity, we got quality. One of the boys brought an amazing sailfish in that he will rememeber for a lifetime.

These guys were prepared, experienced, a lot of fun and extremely kind and patient with my 3 teenage kids. I was very impressed with the preparation and effort and beyond pleased with the results. Highly recommend these guys. And the absence of any language barrier is a bonus. Can’t complain about Spanish in Costa Rica but English speaking captain and mate makes things so much easier.

We were out on a pretty bumpy day and despite all of that we were able to get two really big fish. They made us feel comfortable and like they were friends and it was nice to chat with them and catch fish, this guy knows what he’s doing and wants to help you have a good time and is sincere. I highly recommend that you work with him and you use him as your fishing guide in Costa Rica. He even built his own boat, which is really cool and well maintained.

Cody was awesome I mess up my booking and he quickly responded to help change it to the correct day. Easy to find the boat and the crew was freindly and informative. Any question we had they answered made us feel comfortable and the whole nine. We had one bite and no catches but they cant make them bite. Overall it was a great trip great crew they really do work hard and keep it moving. We tried several spots and they kept it going to the bitter end. Thank yall for the trip and i hope to have better luck next time!
