Stick Em Fishing Adventures 

We recently went on a striper fishing charter in the Outer Banks, and I can't recommend it enough! Our captain was incredibly hard-working and dedicated to ensuring we had a successful day on the water. He utilized various methods to locate the fish, showing great expertise and knowledge of the area. His patience and determination truly paid off. After some time, we were finally on the fish, and my 10-year-old son had the thrill of catching his very first striper! The captain was not only skilled but also fantastic with kids, making the experience enjoyable and memorable for my son. If you're looking for an exciting fishing adventure, this charter is the way to go. Thanks to our captain's hard work and dedication, we left with great memories. Highly recommended!

I took my dad out on his first ever fishing charter and it was an unforgettable one for him! We booked a 4hr fishing charter and Captain Vinny took us out on the ocean to look for some red drum. He tried some trolling while we looked for the drum but the overcast skies that day limited our visibility to see them. He decided to try some different techniques to try and land something into the boat but the fish were just not biting. We were nearing the end of the trip when one of the lines started screaming. My dad grabbed hold of the rod and Captain Vinny helped walk him through everything he needed to land the biggest fish my dad’s ever caught! He was able to land a 45 inch red drum which is considered a trophy fish in NC. Unfortunately my luck wasn’t as good that day but getting to see my dad catch his biggest fish ever let alone a trophy one was something both he and I will never forget. Captain Vinny did everything to ensure our trip was successful and that we caught something on our trip. He went above and beyond and we can’t say enough good things about our experience. If you want a captain who wants nothing more than for you to catch fish, then Stick Em Fishing is the charter for you! You will not be disappointed!

After recently acquiring our first seaworthy boat, my son and I chartered a trip with Captain Vincent in hopes of learning tips and tricks for maximizing our fishing adventures in the NC Sound. Boy, were we not disappointed!! Captain Vincent was extremely accommodating and exceeded our expectations with the amount of knowledge he was able to convey to us in just one outing. Techniques covered include baitfishing, sightfishing and using popping-corks for drum, deepwater jigging, pylon fishing for sheepshead and trolling (as well as general advice on things such as rig setups, anchoring techniques, sonar readings, etc.). I honestly cannot imagine how much time, money and general frustration we avoided by learning these skills from a seasoned fisherman versus trying to do it on our own. As an added bonus, we even caught fish while doing it!! Simply put, our trip with Vincent was absolutely amazing and I'd highly recommend him for your next outing!

We have been on other charters, but this was by far the best experience we have ever had fishing on the Outer Banks. Captain Vinny was very knowledgeable about our target species of fish and they were biting as soon as we stopped. Despite the weather not cooperating, the captain was very personable and delivered on an amazing experience. We will definitely be calling him to schedule our next trip. I will never book with a different charter company again.

Capt Vinny is great. He askd what we would like to accomplish for the day and he delivered. I said we would like to put fish in the box, so we targeted speckled trout and red drum. We got 4 trout right away then moved to drum. We got our 3 in the slot and a few over. My 7yo son had a blast. He even caught a keeper drum on a spoon all by himself! Capt Vinny was patient and helpful with my son, said he has 3 daughters of his own. We are a family that loves good fishing and enjoy a great fish dinner. We got both. Capt vinny said it best, “ u can buy legal sized fish in the grocery, but they don’t sell the memories of him catching the over-sized ones”. Thanks again Vinny, tight lines🤙🏼

We had the BEST time in OBX with our Captain Vinny . He is very knowledgeable and got us catching fish as soon as we got out there!!! He works so hard to keep all of the lines baited and in the water to catch as many fish as possible. He is positive and upbeat. You can tell he cares about you having the best experience you can have and wants you to catch the most fish you possibly can! We caught several fish! My husband and I actually caught the biggest Redfish on the trip that are actually trophy fish that we will receive certificates for from the state of NC! The captain was so good with our teen girls on the boat and made sure they both left with catching fish! If you have the chance book with Stick ‘em. You won’t be disappointed!!

We planned to go the Ocean but due to conditions it was recommended we stay in the Sound. The group was my wife, 2 kids, and myself. Vinnie did a great job overall getting us to catch fish in a variety of conditions and methods. Top water( caught a trout the first cast of the day), jigs, etc. Vinnie has children himself and did an exceptional job with our kids. My daughter, had set her heart on catching, the “prized, goofy smiled” sheepshead, or Zebra fish as she named it, and Vinnie was as excited as her when she finally was able to bring her “trophy” aboard in the final 10 minutes of fishing. We caught trout, blues, flounder, along with the much sought after sheepshead. We recommend Stick em overall but definitely for those wishing to take a family trip with kids.

Captain Vinny was absolutely amazing. We did a sunset trip for 4 hours in the middle of april. The weather went from sunny to cloudy to rainy to windy to calm and every combination. Captain Vinny knew exactly how to correct for the wind to keep us on the fish. We caught several nice trout, a 24 inch red drum, and even got some hook ups on the fly rod! I picked his brain about local fishing knowledge and he gave me a lot of great tips to get on some fish myself during the rest of my vacation. I am definitely keeping in touch and plan on booking a trip with him everytime we come out here! Can't give enough compliments about captain Vinny's fishing knowledge or his great positive personality!

My three boys and I thoroughly enjoyed our time fishing with Captain Vinny. It was a windy day… bringing some difficulty to our fishing trip. Regardless, Captain Vinny put us on the fish. We quickly caught a dozen sheepshead. Then we had some great success throwing lures into frenzied bluefish (kept another dozen). Then we finished the day catching a very large red drum. We couldn’t have been more satisfied with our trip. I highly recommend booking with Captain Vinny!!

Captain Vinny was fantastic! We attempted to head out into the ocean twice to fish the wrecks but the weather had other plans. After calling an audible, we headed back into the sound where we settled into some calmer water and fished the grass areas. We landed a bunch of Speckled Trout and Blues but the highlight was definitely a citation sized Gator Trout! He is extremely knowledgeable and doesn’t stop working! We can’t thank him enough for putting us on the fish and trying new spots throughout the day. WE WILL BE BACK!
